We wandered into the Community Council for the Arts and along with the beautiful artwork of all kinds and price ranges, we met Rose Clark who could not have been more friendly. We talked for about an hour with her and enjoyed it immensely. We all bought something as a keepsake for our trip to Kinston. I highly recommend stopping here to see the artwork and the beautiful building.

I especially enjoy their quilting classes. They bring in an artist once a month to demonstrate a new type of quilting. They offer many other programs, exhibits and concerts there. They are all excellent. They're not geered to the youth of today but to the more mature.

This little small town has a gen, which is it's Arts Council. Not only for the shows, but their classes and once a year , they have a fund raiser called Soup and A Bowl. That is, you pay a fee, get to choose a hand thrown pottery bowl and then sample over 20 homemade soups, made by people in the community. This is been going on for 18 years, and draws over 200+ people each year and the soups and fellowship are excellent.

This is a lovely art space in a unique, historic building. They have changing exhibits, as well as a permanent collection of art work. There is a lovely gift shop with loads of items by local artists.

I've been here several times and have always been impressed with their love of the arts. They have local as well as regional musical performers from time to time. There's also a model railroad exhibit that a lot of fun to see.

I took a painting class here by a local to NC artist and it was excellent. It was a fairly small group. Maybe 6 students. We all had fun while learning some paint techniques.

Housed in a historic building with plenty of nearby parking, this is a beautiful venue with flair. Multiple rooms and spaces are available for guests to mingle, including a gallery area upstairs.

I was very impressed with the art work on display at the Community Council for the Arts. I did not get time to browse all the art work because I was there near closing but will get back another time.

We viewed a wonderful juried art show at the Center. The space is wonderful and the selection of art was eclectic from traditional landscapes and portraits to more abstract works in various media. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A great visit.
