This is a cheap way to spend a couple of hours with the kids. It is clean and they have several play sprayers and a dump bucket that the kids really enjoyed. It was super hot outside so a good way to cool off.
However, be sure your kids are not near the spinning gun when other kids are playing with it. OR, if it's your kids don't let them spin the thing around like they are the only ones there. Just because it WILL spin around doesn't mean it should when there are other children there. One of the kids with us nearly got knocked out when she was hit by this big metal spinning gun.
In my opinion the people on duty should be watching to ensure safe play because you will always have parents that don't supervise their kids or that don't care what they are doing.

This is an awesome place to hang out with little kids. Soft mates and plenty of water activities. And it's incredibly cheap.

Took my grandchildren here--nice safe place on a hot day. Have been to many spraygrounds across the country--this is the only one we have had to pay to play

This little park, in the FairField park complex, is amazing. For just a dollar, that's for adults, and every child has to be accompanied by an adult, a child can play on a cushioned surface and be drenched under buckets of water, bathed in a mist of water, have a water cannon spray off, dance through a water rainbow and in one place. It's safe, family friends with chairs for the grown-up and even picknick tables. Can also be rented out for birthdays.

This splash pad is right in the middle of Kinston and for only $1 your kids can splash and play all day! The splash pad is only open in the summer months through Labor Day but it is a wonderful place to spend a few hours cooling off in the heat! It is always clean, bathrooms are available inside the adjoining building, and they even sell popsicles for $0.50 which the kids love! There are 2 covered areas with picnic tables and extra seats as well as chairs and lounging/tanning chairs around the splash pad itself. The splash pad has a fence surrounding it with a gate at the entrance to keep little ones from just running out which is nice. It is open Monday- Saturday 9:30am-5:30 pm and Sundays from 1:30pm-5:30pm. The splash pad can also be rented out for private parties from 6-8pm for a fee of $75 that gives you access to an activity room with tables to accomodate guests. My family visits this splash pad frequently and even when summer camp groups or daycares are there at the same time it never feels too packed- there is plenty of space for everyone! Outside food is welcomed- people often bring coolers and Ive even seen people have pizza delivered!
**My kids like to bring their beach buckets to the splash pad to fill with water so that's an idea to bring along with you too! And dont forget sunscreen and a towel!**
