Jawili Falls is in Tangalan, Phils. If you're on your way to Boracay, try to visit first this key tourist attraction in Aklan. From Kalibo airport its less than an hour drive, and plenty of convenient transportation. What's so unique with this place, one of its kind, is the 7 basins one above the other with clear and fresh water to cool you down. After a long walk around, , you can plunge into one of the waterfalls basins and spend the rest of the day admiring the beauty of the sorroundings. Just wear shorts and slippers, nothing fancy and better bring your own food for sure. From the town proper, it will take another 15 minutes to get to this chain of lush waterfalls. Just magnificent. A truly amazing experience.

This place is well developed now, with many day-trippers from Kalibo on weekends and holidays. It's nice to swim in the pool below the Falls and you can walk up for some distance. There are picnic huts for rent, but bring your own picnic!

We went to the falls early morning the guard that gets the payment was not there yet. We just left the money. The place was refreshingly cool. There is a stair that can go up but its a hike after that. The place is very nice. The water is cool and clean. The stones are slippery so be careful. Visit this when you are at Tangalan.

I chaperoned a field trip for one of my sons' class groups on Friday. Of the several places they went, our last stop was at Jawili Falls. I had never heard of the place, but it is an interesting place to visit.

It sits on a fair amount of land, so lots of room is available. This might be a good place for large groups to celebrate different occasions. They have several separate areas where events could take place.

If you can't stand karaoke, you might not like the place so much, as they have several systems available for use.

You can rent a cabana for 150p that will accommodate 6-8 people comfortably.

If you want to explore the falls, which apparently consists of seven levels, you will pay a 5p per head entrance fee. Based on the signage, it looks like they used to charge more for foreigners, but it appears that they changed, due to backlash from the public (it's also illegal, so there's that).

Anyway, I found it interesting that you could explore the falls for 5p, but to use the Comfort Room (Rest Room), you had to pay 10p. The place does have a lot of trees, and if you pee underwater, who's gonna know? (j/k)

The kids really enjoyed their time here. If you find yourself in the area with some time on your hands, give it a try.

Visited here last time for a field trip. Would have enjoyed the experience if I brought extra clothes. However, the trip was really fun.

With a small refreshments kiosk at the bottom, there is a path up the first portion of the rockface by the waterfalls. After that one walks over the rocks and along the river bank to various small waterfalls. There are rock pools that one can swim in if desired. Very pleasant although perhaps not 'spectacular'. We found it a good half-day trip from Kalibo in a hired car. Just a short distance away is Jawili Beach - a long stretch of beach with hardly anyone around (when we were there). Add it in to the visit of the waterfalls.

We needed a break from the daily routine, so we pointed North from Numancia looking for Jawili Falls. Finally saw the sign behind several trees driving through Tangalan, turned left at St. John Nepomucene Parish and about 10 min later arrived at Jawili Falls. Beautiful refreshing pools fed by the falls, easy to hike up. Will have to go back prepared to swim!

Jawili falls is a unique waterfall with various basins to swim, the water looks clean enough for a swim. Although not as impressive as the other falls it has its own charm. You can pass by this area when traveling from Kalibo to Caticlan for Boracay.
