Bass Lake is more of a quiet, peaceful retreat kind of space for me than a "park". This is one of the most peaceful places to go in the area. Even when there are other people there, you still do not feel like it's overcrowded or loud. I love to go and sit on the porch on one of their rocking chairs looking out over the beautiful lake and just have a sense of calm and relaxation come over me. It works every single time. There are also nice benches and places to sit to bring a snack. The trail around the lake is an awesome walk and all in all, this is just a wonderful area.

This is what geocaching is all about! Us Canadians were drawn to the area by the very highly rated caches around the park and lake. What a beautiful park, loved the pristine lake and nature. The flora and fauna of the area is bountiful, will handy plaques explaining and identifying plants and trees. The pavilion is manned by cheerful and helpful staff.
We had a terrific, unexpected adventure, and look forward to a return visit.

I had my wedding there, so Bass Lake has always a special place in my heart.
Besides this I love to walk my dogs there and they love to be there. Not sure if they finished the round loop or not.

It’s hard to have a bad day when you go to Bass Lake for a walk or run. The beauty is all around no matter the time of the year. One of my favorite places to enjoy the park.

I live in the area and frequently find myself driving about 20 minutes to go to Bass Lake just to walk the parameter of the lake, and then go back to watch the residents fish. The lake itself is manmade and not huge, but it is charming. Check out the rocking chairs on the veranda, grab a boat for a ride on the lake, or just throw in a line and see if you can snag one of those catfish. Fun, easygoing, Bass Lake.

Great trails for strolling with family or walking or running for fitness. Want a serene place to meditate and fish, Bass Lake Is waiting! Great place for a wedding reception or other event. Beautiful view from the open decking and veranda. Snack bar and small museum. Check their website for hours.

My husband and I had been to a wedding reception here several years ago but just recently decided to take a walk on the trail. It is a beautiful walk to take. It has nice paths to take ad nice scenery. The only thing I would say is to prepare yourself if you want to go all the way around it. My husband had looked it up and said it was a mile or a mile and a half. He failed to see that that was just a portion of it and that there is about another mile connected to go all the way around. We had brought out newborn and me who had not taken that kind of walk since having a child on the walk. SO just know that it is not the shortest walk. I like to know these things ahead of time. It was beautiful and sunsets here are gorgeous. Easy to enjoy on a cool sunny day,

This was a perfect place to take the young ones (5 and 3) to burn off some energy while enjoying the outdoors. The path around the lake is about two miles. We arrived not long before sunset, so we didn't have tons of time, but we were able to stop here and there to watch the wildlife -- mostly birds and ducks -- as they flew in for the evening. And although there were other hikers on the path, coming and going, it was a fairly quiet place, and there was plenty of room for all. We were visiting from out of town, but we hope to be back.
