Wonderful spot for a walk with the dogs...or without. It feels “back to nature” with enough shade to be a reprieve on too hot days. Short, but well kept. Would appreciate a trash can or two along the way.

How often due you get to walk on an actual speedway? You walk the track where cars use to race. There are a few antique cars on the side of the track . You also are able to walk and view where spectators sat.

There is a 3/4 mile packed dirt racetrack with a few vintage cars. We went for a walk with my 2 year old and it was a great place for him to run around some and also appreciate some nature. I only noticed one bathroom...More

My family really enjoyed this unique trail- my husband especially since he is a NASCAR fan. Great reprieve from the heat of the day- the vast majority if shaded and secluded.

The speedway is a nice place for an easy, level walk and it's mostly shaded, which is great for our hot humid summers. There is now plenty of parking and it is connected to Riverwalk so if you get bored on the speedway, you can...More

This is a great place to run or walk. The track is flat and smooth, no roots or rocks to trip you up. If you want something more challenging there are several trails either connected to or close by the track that can give you...More

Tucked back into the woods with the Eno River wrapping around two side, this remnant of the start of NASCAR is remarkable for its survival, thanks to a small group who have sought to take care of it. Much easier to find now that the...More

The old dirt track speedway is just shy of a measured mile. The track is well maintained, well shaded, and soft to walk/run on. There are a mile or two of trails in addition to the track, as well as the old grandstands (great to...More

It's a five or ten minute walk from the parking area to the old track through some nice woods. The remnants of the old cement bleachers are still here and a couple of old wooden buildings. The oval track is present but the infield is...More
