We stopped at Dry Falls on our way from Franklin to Highlands. This is a spectacular sight. They have a nice walk that goes under the falls. This is a must see!

This beautiful fall is accessible via a good size parking lot that has both a wheelchair friendly observation deck and a trail that runs to the bottom and behind the fall. The walk to the bottom is not bad even though it has over 100 natural stone steps. The steps are divided up by stretches of concrete sidewalk, so you... More

Great but my kids loved swimming and sliding the rocks on the swimming hole 3.5 miles towards Franklin. Pull off side of road and make a day of fun!

Parking can be a bit of a pain if it is a nice day, so be prepared for that. The walk down to the falls is simple, just a few steps and the falls are in sight. The best part is that you can walk behind the falls. Absolutely worth the drive.

This is probably one if the highlights of our trip. One of the most beautiful and amazing falls in the North Carolina mountains.

This is a beautiful sight to see with some wonderful hiking along lovely, well kept trails. This is one of many waterfalls in this area which has the highest concentration of waterfalls in our majestic country.

Beautiful falls to visit at any time. Lovely to see throughout the year. It was not crowded on our visit and the leisurely walk down steps to the falls was icing on the cake. You can venture under the falls if you wish and our grandson surely enjoyed that! Highly recommend this stop along the road between Highlands and Franklin,... More

I still love looking at waterfalls, even though I have seen many spectacular waterfall settings in several different states. These falls were wonderful, but there are a whole lot of stairs and ramps to get yourself down to view the falls. I don't think a handicapped person would be able to negotiate the stairs before getting to the ramps. The... More

Not so hidden on the road. There's a point of view on the falls itself from up hill to handicap. Stairs will lead u down and u can walk under the waterfall without getting wet. 1/2 an hour max do the whole place.

If you're in the Highlands area a trip to Dry Falls should not be missed! First, the drive is gorgeous. It's a bit tedious, being a mountain road, but once your confidence level goes up you're able to really enjoy the drive. Roll down your windows and take it all in! Now for the waterfall, this is a beautiful, huge... More
