You can get a good work out going uphill here. Although the parking lot looked full, the trails were uncrowded.

The trails are well marked and their is a ranger there always willing to help. They have maps of the trails. It has nice restrooms near the parking lot. The hills are pretty steep and gets the heart rate up. I like to go early when it is a little cooler and less people

Bakers Mountain offers a couple of different options for the hiker. One can go either a shorter route or longer. You can also adjust your hike to how easy or strenuous you want it to be. While the view at the "top" might not be classified as spectacular, it gives you the opportunity to get out into nature for some peace and solitude and travel at a leisurely pace. There are also some points of interest along the walk, a somewhat serene, if not small waterfall and some rock outcrops. Excellent park to take the children as it will not be too overwhelming for them. The longest and steepest portions of the walk can take about one and a half hours walking at a leisurely pace.

Really enjoyed the hiking at this park. The trails are well kept and someone even had to remove trees from the path recently -chain saw was obviously used. There is some fairly steep hiking but decent footing. Love the observation area, where you look out over mountains in the distance
