Lots to see and programs change often. Great for young scientists and school age children. The tortoises, sharks, sting-rays, spiders, snakes, and their collection of fossils are very interesting. This year they have a Butterfly Habitat which my granddaughter loved and did not want to leave. They sprayed something on her finger so the butterflies would land and stay on... More

We visited this Science Center a few times a year with our grandson and a friend or two of his. They are occupied with activities which enhance science concepts and provide fun at the same time. The admission fee is very reasonable and every time we have gone to this museum, the place was nearly empty. A great place to... More

It was very fun and exciting. Learned some pretty cool things and even got to touch sting rays and sharks, watched a live feeding, got in a tornadoe simulater, held butterflies, and much much more! Very fun!

My grandchildren were up from Florida visiting and I took them to the Science Center for the bug and bee exhibit. I tried to get them to eat a bug but the wouldn't. they loved to put the large bug.

Wonderful science center....with aquarium and planetarium. Youth oriented science discoveries await around each corner; and fun for adults too! Local corporate sponsors play a vital role in its health and productions. Several times a year the main exhibit changes...From Dinosaurs to Butterflies. So very proud to call Hickory my new home.

I love taking my 4 year old grandson to the science center. There are many activities, and we move from one area to another. We especially enjoy the butterfly exhibit and having butterflies land on our fingers.

We went with our one year old twins and three year old son. They had fun, especially with the butterfly exhibit but I found most of the museum and science centre in need of updating, repair and a new lightbulb or two. It was very dark in most places and many of the exhibits seemed to be the originals from... More

We are a family whose oldest is 20, then 17 then 8. They all had a great day! The museum has wonderful fun events all the time. And for $6 a person where else can you see artwork, animals, gemstones, touch sharks and rays, play with science and have butterflies land on your hand?

It was nice to see the exhibits and I saw some things that I haven't seen before. They had live turtles there and the tour to see everything wasn't too long.

We came here on a "homeschool" field trip and my kids loved it! It's got lots of hand on experiment and we even go to see the stars in the observatory. This place is a great, inexpensive place to go for the day. Like someone else said,it's not too big but there's several things to do and keep those little... More
