Good for the kids

I think it's really neat for kids. So parents take your kids. They will enjoy the butterfly exhibit. I recommend spring and early summer.

My kids love The Science Center. This place is huge with an aquarium, and lots of science exhibits, a kids place area, and gift shop. I love the historical building, because its a former high school. There are lots of learning experiences for kids.

We enjoy the science center. Exhibits rotate almost quarterly! My son could go every weekend to enjoy the science center. We always visit the aquarium on our trips! I have no complaints! Staff is always friendly! Planetarium always has good shows, as well! I would highly recommend going if you haven't!

The science center is in the old Claremont High School (built 1924) and is almost 20,000 square feet. My husband and I enjoyed the exhibits but it seems to be geared more towards the kids than adults. The exhibits are very well done. There is an annex building behind the old school that has the aquarium. They also have a... More

My kids love the Science Center. There are many hands-on learning centers about motion/force, gravity, and so forth. The aquarium is also hands-on. It is definitely worth visiting if you are in the area. Check out their website for special events or free entrance.

They have special exhibits and time spent with your family can not be replaced. Enjoy the time and questions to the answers and the hands on style.

Motion room with balls, taxidermic animals that we could touch, life size dinosaurs that move and make noises, rocks, planetarium, special exhibits;. it is always fun for several hours of fun for my grandchildren. Call and ask when admission is free.

Lots to see and programs change often. Great for young scientists and school age children. The tortoises, sharks, sting-rays, spiders, snakes, and their collection of fossils are very interesting. This year they have a Butterfly Habitat which my granddaughter loved and did not want to leave. They sprayed something on her finger so the butterflies would land and stay on... More
