Learned a lot at Johnson Farm. Be sure to get there early to get a tour of the inside of the house. They do the tour once a day at 10:30am. We missed it but may have to go back to tour the inside of the home. Otherwise you can do a self guided tour around the property with the audio (available on your cell phone). There are also a couple short trails to walk along on the property as well.

Great for kids and adults alike! The history of the farm is very interesting. Highlights include farm animals, tours of the farm house and a large area to picnic or run and play.

If you’re looking for farm animals, this is not the place. Two donkeys and 3 chickens they couldn’t find. Educational info not for children under 10, very disappointing

I'm sorry your visit disappointed you! We unfortunately can't make the chickens come out, especially when it's cold. We do not advertise as a petting zoo or place with lots of farm animals, so we are sorry if you thought it was. Did you go on a guided tour of the farm? We try to make tours suitable for children and adults.

The historic Johnson Farm and interpretive Education Center is a great experience for kids to better understand the history. They were able to keep their attention and the kids from the first grade enjoy their experience. They have two tours each day. It is a good way to help young people remember the past. I do not believe that you will be disappointed!
