Stepps Orchard is the very best
We visited several apple orchards over a couple of days. Stepps was far better than any of the others. There were several school groups visiting at the time but they were very well behaved, and they were all having a good time. The best part of Stepps: they had CORTLAND apples, which few of the others have. The Apple people who were there were extremely cordial and helpful, and helped us fill a 1/2 bushel bag with a variety of apples.

    Focus on Pick Your Own
We had visited another orchard in the area and decided to stop here on a Tuesday while in the area. Large parking area with several school buses. Lots of activities for the kids but the main focus at this operation is on pick your own with a very limited amount of pre-picked apples. Large number of friendly staff and they appear to be capable of handling large crowds efficiently. We had gotten apples at the previous stop so we just got cider here. Well worth the visit .

Came from Aiken SC, stayed overnight with the family. Beautiful place, friendly atmosphere, but disappointed that you are charged for hayride ($41. for 7 people), $7.00 per child to jump on the trampoline, etc. We would have rather paid a flat fee so we could just enjoy ourselves without running around having to break out the wallet every 5 minutes. The red delicious apples had no taste, but we had already picked a big box, so feeling badly that we wasted $30. Thankfully we were fortunate to have found the Romes, and ended up with two other boxes of tasty apples. We enjoyed the delicious apple cider donuts! Bought some pumpkins too! All in all it was a fun day, but will try a different orchard next trip.

We wanted to experience a corn maze and u-picking of apples however we drove in/out of the parking lot. Driving up to the establishment there was absolutely nothing appealing to make us want to even get out of our vehicle. Apple trees were already picked, only a handful of pumpkins were available. There were 3 buses of kids to enjoy the experience hopefully they had a good time.

No social distancing or Covid guidelines being followed. There was no protective barrier while paying for our pumpkins and the staff was not wearing a mask. They also did not enforce their customers to wear them since only maybe 10% had masks on. Very disappointing and upsetting. Also very over priced!!!!! Don’t waste your time!

My son and his family invited us to go apple picking at Steppe's. Ordinarily this is an excellent spot for picking apples. However, due to hail and adverse weather conditions earlier this year, picking was not at good as usual. However, this was still an enjoyable outing. Apple donuts are delicious and there are other treats available.
My daughter in-law was able to get a peck of early fuji apples. Staff is very friendly and picking should be better in September. My son and his family will be returning shortly in the fall.

An incredible experience! Yes of course apples, but UPick sunflowers, Zenias and pumpkins. Apple cannons and the largest jump pad I have ever seen to keep the kiddos entertained for hours! Cute picture backdrops throughout, tractor rise and a 5.5 acre corn maze!!!!! On top of an amazingly clean and well organized facility, every single employee was kind, smiled and helpful. We took grandpa and kids! They had a food truck we took advantage of for lunch too-plus of course the donuts, cider and cookies from their market! First time - total score! Will be back year after year!

We have been coming to Stepps every fall for 14 years. In the past, handicapped people could drive up the long uphill main road and park on the side to go pick apples. Unfortunately now,, on weekends, no one is allowed to drive further than the parking lot. I absolutely understand the liability and limiting it BUT my wife and I will NEVER again be able to pick apples here as I am unable to walk up the hill and my wife certainly can't push my wheelchair up the rocky road. While any reasonable person will understand a company limiting it's liability they should also offer alternatives as this may constitute a violation of ADA.

This place was one of our favorite stops on our vacation! Gorgeous orchard views and family fun. So nice to have no admission fee to walk around. The apple cider doughnut was delicious, and the apple cider slushy was refreshing. Would recommend coming here especially with family. It’s really nice it is open til 6pm too.

Very well run experience, had a great time!! Parking was easy and lots of staff directing traffic. All staff were so friendly and kind. Dog friendly. The orchards were beautiful and well maintained. There were lots of apples! Everything was very clean! Store was nice and had friendly staff. Even though it was crowded the lines moved very quickly due to the efficient staff. Donuts and kettle corn were yummy! Definitely will go back!
