A great Amish country store. Lots of jams, jellies, pickles, baking supplies. But the one thing you don't want to leave without trying are the sticky buns. Best ever, and I lived right near the Amish in Lancaster Co., PA. I am an ingredient reader, and some of the meats are OK, others have nitrates and phosphates and other things not in the real Amish meats we are used to. Cheeses mostly authentic with no bad ingredients.
But a really nice store with very friendly staff.

We visited Shiloh General Store after visiting a local winery. All I can say is dont miss it!
The made to order sandwiches were great as well as the home made whoopie pies. You feel like you’re in Lancaster County with complete with horse drawn buggies.

We took a daytrip to this store today, and we enjoyed it so much. The sandich and chips were very tasty, the varitey of candy, Amish bread, jellies, jams, honey, salsa, deli meats, homemade goodies, etc..gives you plenty of choices. Horse across the road were beautiful to watch while we sat on the porch and ate our lunch. Wonderful daytrip.

We go every year when we visit friends. They are a Amish owned store with all the usual items. We got a loaf of sourdough bread still very warm from the oven yum yum. They also have a deli which will make great sandwiches. Great place to visit.

This is wheelchair accessible, has tons of special spices, jams, jellies, local cheese, ham, butter, pickles, pies, cook books, home steading books, quilts, dried beans, salt, flour, pickling supplies and spices, a deli, so much more. Not far from I-77. A nice day trip, bring your cooler,

Located in the heart of NC's New Order Amish community near Union Grove, Shiloh Store will give you a glimpse of Amish life, without the expense of driving to Ohio, Pennsylvania, or even Virginia. The store carries bulk goods, baked goods, handmade sandwiches, Books, Amish Quilts, drinks, home-made molasses and a variety of products you probably won't find on the Food Lion shelves. The friendly folks who run the store will be happy to try and answer any questions about the products, or about the way they live, which is not necessarily exactly the same as Amish in Indiana, Ohio, or elsewhere. You may hear them converse among themselves in German, but will be happy to address you in English.
Be aware, the store is CLOSED on Sundays. It would be a longish drive out there from most of NC's cities, and I'd hate to see you disappointed. I believe Saturdays are when the donuts are made, and I am quite fond of them; they are a little heavier and chewier than most folks are used to. Think in terms of Krispy Kremes on steroids.... They'll make a deli sandwich right on the spot for you, if you like, but I usually go for the sugar fix.
You will note, as you get on the two-lane roads in the community, the bright yellow signs with a horse drawn vehicle indicating that those are used in the area; please be careful as the roads often wind and go over hills, and you can easily run right up on top of one of the buggies, often full of children, before you know what is happening. They move VERY slow, compared to autos.
Enjoy your visit to Shiloh, and there are several other smaller stores in the area that you may want to check out while you're in the area.

This is not your normal country store & not even close to your normal deli. Homemade bread & about everything thing else you can think of. A deli that you will hurt yourself just trying to sample what looks great. Great place to stop in for a lunch sandwich, but draws repeat customers from far away.

My wife and I drove to Hamptonville NC after hearing from a friend how nice it is. Shiloh General Store is located in a beautiful rural Amish farming community. They have a wide variety of jellies, jams, baked goods, as well as a fully stocked deli with meats and cheeses. The aroma of freshly baked bread greeted us when we walked through the front door ! I started with a peach fried pie which I immediately opened and enjoyed. We browsed for quite a while and eventually left with a bagful of goodies including a still hot loaf of sourdough bread, a pound of Farmer's cheese, a jar of apple butter, 3 more fried pies and 2 oatmeal whoopie pies. We later drove back and had delicious deli sandwiches on the front porch. These folks are so warm and welcoming. They even bake fresh doughnuts on Saturdays. We will definitely be back again.

We were camping in the area and the camp host recommended Shiloh General Store for lunch. He said they make Subway sandwiches look like diet food. He was right. The sandwiches were made on fresh baked bread with Amish cured deli meats and trimmings. This store is definitely worth a stop for lunch. Bonus - it's right down the road from two great wineries and the Amish furniture store.

Buy a hearty sandwich and a drink, go sit outside and if you are lucky, the buggies will go by and you can wave at Amish teens out on the streets. Now marvel at their ability and desire to be outside and independent while back in civilization people freak if a kid is outside playing ball in the street without an armed guard. Terrific food, nice nice people to talk to even if we have a million things not in common at all. I love the quiet. I love how the neighboring horses go silly when they see a horse-and-buggy coming. Now pop back in and take some coffee cake and a savory tartlet for later. I'll be back soon soon.
