Walked around the lake for exercise, Memorial Day morning. Plenty of people around so I felt completely safe. The gun range DOES make a racket.

Rankin Lake park has a lot to offer if you need space, nature and recreation. The first option at the park are the picnic areas. The park has several covered picnic shelters, a few are right near the lake, others are in the wooded areas...More

Great place. We had a children's Sunday School party there and a family get-together last summer. When the kids by enjoy, it's a great great place. Clean shelters are a big plus

nice walking path around the lake - sorta weird its next to a gun range.. When the range is active - it takes away from the ambience of the lake

We love going to Rankin lake just to sit by the water and relax. There are plenty of people walking arond the water, fishing and having picnics. You don't see that alot anymore. I love the serene atmosphere!
