In 1858, farmer Stephen Fuquay discovered the natural spring that anchors Fuquay-Varina Mineral Spring Park. The natural spring was soon developed into a tourist attraction that brought thousands of visitors throughout the first part of the 20th Century. Located near downtown Fuquay, the Mineral Springs Park offers an easily accessible open space with a restored Springhouse, memorial brick path, picnic tables, footbridge, and finely manicured landscaping.

The is a neat little park with a bit of history. The stream and park benches make it a very nice and relaxing place to enjoy your day. It is also in very close walking distance from the down town area.

You could easily miss this place, it's not a huge area but it a pleasant shady spot. Lovely for a walk and picnic stop. Only downside- lots of biting insects!

I kept hearing about the mineral springs in Fuquay. And, happened on it accidentally. Seems a quiet retreat and maybe a good place to bring a picnic lunch. I didn't really see what I thought would be a spring water spot where people would dip...More

Very pleasant, though small, park with lots of shade, a stream, picnic tables and some small hills. Great for a picnic, throwing a frisbee, or just relaxing.

Very small park but interesting and the posted signs give you a little history of the park. You can see it all in 10 mins.

I've been a Triangle resident for 15+ years and had never been to nor heard of Fuquay Mineral Springs Park. This sweet town is aligned with a visit to historic Hillsborough or Pittsboro or the western town of Lithia Springs in Oregon. The Mineral Spring...More

A really nice place to just sit and contemplate. Beautiful trees, shaded, no playground so few children, very quiet. Just steps from downtown Fuquay Varina which has some really neat boutique stores and eateries and a fabulous bakery, StickBoys.
