We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and were captivated by all of the history of the town, not to mention the intriguing tales of ghosts and apparitions reported throughout the old buildings downtown. We would have loved to hear more and are looking forward to their book.

Wonderful historic tour of Franklin's haunted sites and graveyards. My family and I took this tour and it was WELL worth the money. Super storytelling kept you hanging on for more. I learned so much "spooky" history about our town. Definately want to do another tour soon!

I attended my second Murder Mystery Dinner on 6/30/2018. It was a great evening of entertainment! The fun began when the invitation arrived in the mail. The invitations were themed around the dinner party and we’re very creative! They contained a description of your character and suggestions for costumes. When I arrived at the beautiful Snow Hill Inn, I was created by Pauletta. She gave me my folder with my character description, and how to begin gathering clues! It was Hosted by Pauletta’s hostess skill were great! She gave a description of how to begin and then stepped back, letting the characters lead the story. Pauletta guided us throughout the evening keeping the momentum flowing. The meal courses were served in between rounds of the game. I cannot wait for the Dinner Party in September!! I will be attending that one, as well!! Thank Pauletta and Gregg for a fun evening!

I am noticing that many of the reviewers for this attraction have very few reviews to their name & wonder if they are really legitimate reviews. We tried to go on this tour. Our guide (Greg) started out to be very engaging & we were excited to go on the walk. However, literally about 5 minutes in, he started having trouble with remembering the stories he was supposed to tell. I thought he was kidding at first, but he had a serious melt down and told us he could not continue the tour. He mentioned that this had happened to him a couple of times before. We spent all of 10 minutes on the tour, and half of that was walking back to our vehicle to leave. It was very awkward with our kids & pretty disappointing. We had not paid any money up front, so did not have that to deal with. We have been on ghost walks all over the U.S. and this was by far the most bizarre (and not in a good way). If you are planning to try it, be prepared for an alternate plan to entertain your disappointed kids in case it is a bad night.

In response to the one negative review of Where Shadows Walk, Franklin's Haunted History Tour, we'd like, first to offer our sincere regrets that your experience was anything but amazing. Where Shadows Walk, Franklin, North Carolina's Haunted History Tour strives for excellence. We've had tremendous success, and our guests leave not only in awe of the mind-blowing history of our town and region but often terrified after hearing of the dark, chilling tales that make up the fabric of our storied town and region. On this particular night, our tour guide was becoming very ill very fast. He tried to soldier on; however, he realized quickly he could not. No guest lost money, as no one had paid, and our guide apologized for any inconvenience. When dealing with tour guides of any kind, one must realize that illness, exhaustion or impromptu conflicts may occur. Our tours have garnered guests from around the world. We offer professional presentations often at libraries and festivals and our reviews are real. No where will guests receive a more intimate and haunting, historic ghost tour.

Our daughter and grandchildren were visiting and we went on the two hour walk. It was absolutely fantastic and John deVille was a wonderful guide and story teller...I would highly recommend this for everyone living here and for anyone visiting..It is most educational and very entertaining. The history is fascinating and the ghost facts will not be forgotten..Just can't say enough good things about it!!

This was the first time I have ever been on one of these tours. I can honestly say that I'm not sure I would go on another tour anywhere else because I feel that they would pale in comparison to my experience with Mr Clark and his tour in Franklin NC. Due to being limited on time, I opted to take back to back tours, and after 4 hours of walking and listening to stories, I wanted 4 more hours!!! The stories were very interesting, but the passion that Mr Clark puts in to each story he tells is fantastic! I will be watching the website diligently for added tours, and even though I am an 8 hour drive from Franklin, I will certainly make the trip again to hear the stories.

I went with a group of girlfriends while visiting friends in franklin. What a fun time! Our tour guide (forgot his name 😯) was awesome to say the least. It was so much fun to learn the history of franklin and play with the ghost. My favorite part was playing in the grave yard at midnight and experimenting with the ghost. Next time I'm in franklin I plan on taking the tour again. I would recommend this to everyone.....just make sure you wear tennis shoes.

I recommend this tour to everyone. The Civil War ended in Franklin and the history around this area is fascinating.

Truly a special night full of fantastic story telling, great ambiance, and a very informative tour guide. I have been on many ghost tours in plenty of historic towns but none can top this tour. The tour guide (Gregg) was very energetic and told all the stories in a very captivating way that kept everyone in the audience, child or adult, engaged and wanting more. I would recommend this tour to anyone and would definitely consider doing another one.
