Paid $45 for three buckets of sand with some stones thrown in. The kids (3 of them) went through the buckets in 20 minutes. Then you go inside to see the "assayer". This is when the game really begins. They tell you what stones you found and try to convince you make some jewelry out of them. Don't do this!!... More

Able to search for Gems. Then what you find they will evaluate what can be cut and polished for jewlery. Gems also available to purchased in gift shop. There staff friendly and helpful. Can get native stones and then they have gems from other areas. You can get salted bags so your sure to get something.

We visited it on Sunday so there wasn't many people. We enjoyed the time searching for the stones, talking to the staff who could tell us about the stones we found. Take at least super bucket-more fun 😊

We found ruby and other local stones. We took our grandson he had a great time, his bucket had the most rubies.

We bought the Big Bot barrel and had a great time. We came away with several bags of cool stones. We also are having some cut into gems and set into jewelry. We highly recommend this place over some of the more touristy mines.

This is one of the nicest mine in Franklin mine area. You buy dirt and use their equipment to get all kind of the stones. Remind me of my early days of my life. Water, dirt and something to find in it. Good place for kids, but looked like adult enjoyed its more.

I went with a group of about 10 people. We all started with $15 buckets (which contains four large plastic bags of sand and dirt.) The sluice is under a roof so we had some shade (a good thing because it was **hot in the sun that day!) You dump about half a bag into your sluice box and let... More

My wife and I stopped by two days in a row. We had a blast and found lots of cool gemstones. We will definitely come here again.

Rich and I returned to Franklin for a third vacation of gem mining. We had every intention of hitting the 2 mines we had visited in prior years. We arrived in town late and hit one of those mines and "did some buckets". Back at the motel we ran into a gal who'd spent two weeks in town mining. She... More

This is our favorite place to go to mine. Always a fun time and the owners are always friendly. If you want to dig your own dirt - this isn't the place for you but for good times and lots of gorgeous stones - this is it!
