Honoring the battles and battlefields around the globe!

What a great tribute to the units and people who served hailing from the great state of North Carolina. It was nice to see some memories of my stint in the deserts of SWA.

I chose to spend the majority of my time in the Airborne and Special Operation Museum so did a quick walk though of Vetrans Park. The park was humbling to me as I saw those that sacrificed for our county.

Either prior to, or after your visit to the Airborne and Special Operations Museum, this is a good place to walk through, read the memorials and maybe have a lunch packed to eat here.

Dont miss this park across from the Airborne Museum. The park is well laid out and the dog tag display really strikes home. Details history of conflict in NC.

This was a great experience. We found this by accident on our way out to Washington DC. I highly recommend this to everyone. I have never seen so many flags in one area before.

This is a quiet area across from the Airborne Museum. It's intention is to reflect and contemplate the service of our military veterans. The best time to go would be early morning, or, during the summer months, sometime around 6 in the evenings. The sun will still be a little hot, but it will give you time to cool as... More
