Ice Cream

It has VERY good home made ice cream! Eventhough it was hot, we enjoy our self guided tour. My girlfriend also bought some local honey there which was really good.

All of my children toured the farm- as kids at school and scouts. At the end of the $2 tour they would give you a small sample of local homemade vanilla ice cream. Soon people skipped the tour to get the ice cream. The family gave in and started a homemade ice cream shop. Imagine seeing a 5 gallon clear... More

We love to go get ice cream and then walk the farm. The animals are friendly and will come up to the fences to say hi. Our daughter loves it. Also, the paths to walk are pretty shaded so it doesn't get overwhelmingly hot. Their produce stand is also great. We enjoy picking out fresh fruits and veggies and chatting... More

Nice little farm to do the walking tour or just go for some homemade ice-cream. They also make the cones and some really good pound cake. You can also buy their beef from their cow's also very good better then you get at any grocery store in Fayetteville being from NY the closest butcher shop is in Religh, NC.

Considering they over use chems on their produce and are a open supporter of Monsanto, I'm good thanks! You want fruit that's just that FRUIT, check out: Carter Blueberry Farm and Douglas Strawberry Patch. I can attest to the amazing produce we buy from them. So juicy and sweet!

Went to check this place out and boy me and my wife were surprised when we saw that they served homemade ice cream. Let me say that the ice cream is absolutely delicious! While you eat that ice cream you can wonder around the farm and look at some history and see animals too!

Gillis Hill Farms is worth the visit even just to enjoy the ice cream on the porch or out in the yard but there is more to see and be apart of.

Gillis Hill Farm is a lovely family owned business. They serve delicious home made ice cream at a reasonable price. (much less than local chain stores) Included with your ice cream purchase is a tour of their farm. Lots of animals to see along with a pond and working mill built by the owner. Lovely people, lovely place. Great place... More

We have been going to gillis hill for about 10 years or so. We have watched them grow into a thriving family business that supports the local schools with educational programs and families with their walking farm. Always an enjoyable outing where you can get home have ice. Team, fresh fruit, vegetables, bread and even grass fed beef. One of... More
