Great show. Talented actors and musicians. Visually appealing with creativity and simplicity. STS is a jewel for the city of Fayetteville. Treat yourself and go. Go often. Pericles did not disappoint. My 13 year old son enjoyed it as well.

Attending a production by Sweet Tea Shakespeare is an experience I would recommend to any who live in Fayetteville and have yet to do so and any who are visiting Fayetteville. I loved everything about it, from the relaxed atmosphere to the actual performances themselves. The actors are also super friendly, which is a reason by itself to attend a performance. I especially loved their performance of Songs for a New World, I thought that the props and the contemporary clothing lent themselves to a pleasing aesthetic. 11/10, would recommend.

Went to this w/different expectations. That being said, I've discovered that I do not care for musicals, especially if No costumes are involved. Although I appreciated the message; the nonstop singing & regular streetware just didn't do it for me.

I really enjoyed my evening with my hubby. I had to attend Othello for a class and hubby attended with me. We both were shocked that Fayetteville, NC hosted such a wonderful event. I look forward to attending more shows because of this outing.

Last nights performance of Othello was
uh-mazing! The warmth of smiling faces started with the greeting at the door. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. From the high of Othello proclaiming his love for Desdemona, to his rage at her perceived treachery, I was caught up. The actor that played Iago, was a master pupeteer. When Emilia finally confronted Iago, I wanted her to slap him so bad my hand itched! I clutched my pearls several times during the performance. The Britney reference was hilarious. AND..... the tea was bomb! I am definitely going again.

As You like Lit was also the name of the show! I had just moved into town and was looking to do something cultural - what I found was a fantastic mix of performance, songs, dance and theatre that was able to translate Shakespeare into a fun spectacle for everyone! I had such a wonderful time & enjoyed the performance with all its energy and humour! I look forward to attending their next play in June!!

I cannot get enough of Sweet Tea! Their performances are always on point and their performers are amazing (hard to believe these people work full time jobs elsewhere!) William would be proud!

I experienced my 1st Sweet Tea Shakespearian play a few weeks ago... I had just arrived in country and was looking for something different to do... and it was GREAT! The play wasn't bad, but it's the people, the volunteers, the actors, the people that make it so great... They love what they do and make you feel right at home as part of the group. They are all so nice and welcoming... I will definiatly go again and look forward to their next showing. I would recommend it to anyone, whether you enjoy Shakespeare or not... don't let the name discourage you from giving it a try.
