Our daughter asked her mom and me to go with her to her graduation from Duke Divinity School this past May. She brought her oldest son with us so she could show him the Duke campus. She took us to Cameron Indoor Stadium, where several graduation ceremonies were being held during the day. She and her husband are big Duke fans and had attended Coach K’s second to last home game, his last home win. Cameron is a beautiful arena. Walking around the concourse is like going through a museum with all of the historic displays and photographs. I enjoyed seeing the facility in person after seeing it so many times on television.

The atmosphere is unlike any you'll ever experience. Less than 10,000 capacity, the stadium shakes when duke scores. The sound is deafening and overwhelming at times. A notorious student section, the Cameron crazies, will have your energy revitalized and invested 100% in the game. ACC basketball games are the best to go to without a doubt and if you ever are presented with an opportunity to go to a Duke vs UNC basketball game, trust me when I say the tickets have a priceless value.

This was an amazing visit. We were there early (2 hours prior to tip-off) to enjoy the Museum and Hall of Fame. It was easy to stroll through and see the trophies and rings, photos and jerseys.
From there we headed into the stadium and the ambiance was electric. We were behind one the standing room only sections but even being in the first row we could see everything. I know this is an enterprise for the university, but everything was so choreographed, from the cheerleaders to the dancers to the mascot to the half-time. It was all amazing.
I do have to say that we were totally blown away by the staff, whether they were helping with the parking (answered questions with a smile and I am sure those same questions were asked a million times), on duty in the HoF or in the Team Store, everyone greeted the patrons with a smile, a thanks for visiting Cameron, and just created an all-around atmosphere of "glad you are here, enjoy yourself".

We visited Durham from Canada the weekend of the Duke NC game and decided to visit the Basketball hall of fame. We were thrilled when a volunteer offered to give us a tour of the Cameron Indoor Stadium. What a thrill to see a facility with so much tradition and to get such special treatment.
Can’t wait to visit again and try to attend a basketball game.

What an experience! Even though not a Duke alum, the feeling of entering the basketball arena and walking on the court was amazing. Pete, the Duke volunteer who welcomed us into the arena was warm and friendly and made us feel at home. We had a blast!

If you are able to go inside for a game or when nothing is going on, it is truly special. So many great players have played on this court. Seeing it on TV and being there in person are two totally different things. Make sure to visit if you are in the Durham area!

Been planning this trip for 6+ months... definite bucket list just to go to Cameron, but to go for the Duke and NC game... well that’s just even better.
Decided to Uber there Friday night and get the K’ville tent experience .... took a cooler and enjoyed having a few adult beverages with the “kids”.... everyone we met, were great. The ticket process for the students is insane, we witnessed the “check-in” several times, where the kids came crawling out of tents to check-in to make sure they didn’t lose their chance to get tickets to the Sat game.
Showed back up via Uber Sat a few hours before the game. Had a little walk as the traffic was already shut down. If you are Ubering to and from game, need to ask where you can go to get an Uber after game... they change traffic post game, we went back to where we were dropped off (as did many others) only to find we were far away from where Uber could come. Things may change, but we had to hike over to the traffic circle where Circuit and Research intersects.
Once we arrived at Cameron, we entered through museum, husband enjoyed all the history of Duke athletics. You have to have you ticket to get in on game day, as you go straight into Cameron from there. They do sell food, beer and wine but you can’t take alcohol into Cameron.
We went into Cameron 40 min before game started to just take it all in. It really is all that and so much more. The Cameron Crazies are a sight to see... the atmosphere, noise, coordinated chants and moves are Awesome! One of my favorites was the announcement of the away team, in this case NC. The announcer would introduce for example Joel Berry....the Cameron Crazies would wave and shout in unison “Hi Joel”... then “You Suck!”......this continued for every player. These kids are passionate about Duke... oh to be young again!
Cameron is incredible.... it lived up to all we had heard and expected it to be.... and to see a big Win... well that was the cherry on top!

Attending a basketball game at Cameron is like nothing else. The closeness of the fans to the court, the intensity of the environment, the cleverness of the Crazies and basketball played at the highest level combine to make this experience truly unique. If you can get tickets to an ACC game, absolutely go and participate in the fun - expect to leave without your voice, sweaty and exhausted yet utterly exhilirated. Basketball will never be as good anywhere else.

I am spending part of a day in the Raleigh-Durham area on April 8th and am wondering if I would be able to visit the Cameron Indoor Stadium that day?

I will be visiting the area from Ohio in June. Do you have to schedule a visit or how does a tour work? I am DESPERATELY trying to find out how to tour the stadium. May be my one and only shot to do so.
Thanks

The Duke Sports Hall of Fame is open everyday and is with a visit if you love Duke sports. Access to Cameron will depend upon what may be going on the day you visit. You will be able to find out when you visit the Hall of Fame.

Advice for parking at basketball games. We have tickets for next week. Our first time A

It depends on your ticket. Tickets obtained from booster groups such as the Iron Dukes come with access to certain closer parking lots. If not, there is a large parking deck but it is not close. Allow yourself extra time because the inside of Cameron and iits basket memorabilia is worth a look.
Hi all!
I'm heading to a Duke game in November. Tickets are brutal to get of course. Any insight about Seat Geek? I'm fearful of spending money on airfare and hotel and then the ticket being stolen or fake. Any help is appreciated!
Can non students sit in Section 17? Does anyone sell tickets outside the building before the game, reasonably?
Is every seat a good seat given how small the stadium is?

The students have a section, and if there is room I would think they would let non students sit there. For Cameron, it is best to buy your tickets ahead of time. This is area is the Top of ACC and everyone tries to get in to see the game. Every seat is good. Cameron is not big but it is home to the greatest bball team
Can you visit or take a tour of Cameron Stadium during they off season? If so do you just show up or need to make some sort of reservation with the school

If you are just going to Cameron, I don't think so......they do give tours of the campus and they are really a must for your bucket list. The Duke Chapel is a visit all its own......and just gorgeous.

Where is the best place to park for games on Saturday?

there are many parking lots. Most of the lots are prepaid. There are several lots around that you can pay cash. During football season there are at least two free lots, but I don't know about basketball season. Go Blue Devils!

We will be in Durham on Tuesday afternoon Oct. 9. Is there any way to know if Cameron will be open?
