Whether you've lived here for years or are just visiting, this tour was a fabulous way to spend a Saturday afternoon. You get to sample 5-6 different local spots, chat with chefs/owners about their establishments, and learn local history along the way. We participated in Durham as part of a birthday celebration and our tour guide Cat did not disappoint!... More

This is a MUST if you are visiting NC from somewhere else, or if you are new to NC, or if you have lived here for a long time-basically, everyone should do this. I know there are a few different cities involved in the project, but we did Durham as this is where my friends live who we were visiting.... More

This is a great way to get to know the city of Raleigh. Super nice that you actually get to sit down and relax for a few minutes in each restaurant. We went back to two of the restaurants later for full meals. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and nice.

We had 30 people in our group. Like herding cats. Great selection of restaurants (5) and the tour guides (CAT and Ashley) did a fantastic job of providing information about the different stops and about Durham. The personnel (chefs, owners, bartenders and staff) were helpful and informative about the unique aspects of their restaurants.

What a great way to explore a city. Although we have lived in the area for years, we were kind of "stuck" going to our same favorite restaurants. This tour really helped us experience some awesome new restaurants and bars! Can't wait to set up our next tour! Our tour guides (Cat & Ashley), were knowledgable about the places we... More

This is the second food tour I've taken with Taste Carolina, and they've knocked it out of the park once again! Our tour guide, Elizabeth, gave us the stories and food descriptions (in drool-inducing detail) for not only the restaurants we would visit, but also of notable establishments along our walk. That is super helpful, since Durham's food scene has... More

The entire experience was wonderful. Our guide, "CAT," was exceptional. She was informative about downtown Durham and its history. We would do it again!

We have taken several of these tours and have always enjoyed ourselves, the guide, the food and beverages, the walk around Durham. It is a great activity for out of town guests or as a gift for a special event. We've done both. We also tried the Chapel Hill/Carrborro walk which was also very good. If you are thinking about... We went to 5 restaurants, one of which was a craft bar that served us this awesome gin and tonic made with homemade tonic. Delicious! My favorite was the pizza place. Can't wait to go back. Thank you, Taste of Carolina!

First time I tried this. It was my husband's birthday and we had a great time. Durham was voted foodiest town in the South for a reason. Dean was a great guide. He knows Durham history really well. I highly recommend this tour and plan on doing it again soon.
