DPAC. A great theater 🎭
Aug 2020 • Friends
I go to DPAC a lot. For shows, events, to participate in acts. But I also go to visit one of my dear friends. She is always there for ya and will always say yes to a picture. The shows are amazing. There have been DPAC camps in the past. It is a great app experience and is VERY beautiful at night. 10/10 😊

Wonderful evenings out
Jan 2020
We have purchased season tickets for years and always enjoy the shows. Parking is easy. Restaurants within walking distance of the theatre are plentiful and wonderful to places to dine. Always feels very safe with lots of theatre volunteers out to welcome and direct you and lots of other theatre goers. Downtown Durham is just magical at night and DPAC is fabulous. We have never had a bad experience at shows or concerts there.

DPAC doesn't care about the safety of it's visitors.
Mar 2020 • Friends
In the middle of the Coronavirus epidemic and forced public cancellations across the state, DPAC insists it's a great idea to keep the sold out event as scheduled for Gabriel Iglesias show instead of delaying. After contacting them directly with concerns they say they are hoping that mass events will be allowed in time for the show. That's right, they don't care about anyone's safety. They will go ahead and keep the sold out event that will ignore any CDC recommendations and concerns for public safety just so they can collect your money and you have no options for a refund for tickets purchased 6 months in advance of this pandemic! DPAC will never get my business again. This is not the kind of business I will choose to support and encourage others to do the same.

My apologies, but your review is unfounded. In response to the Executive Order from North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper prohibiting mass gatherings of more than 50 people, DPAC has suspended all public events through April 25, 2020. In addition, we are actively working to postpone and reschedule events through June. To-date, we have postponed or rescheduled almost 20 events. A complete update can be found on our website at: https://www.dpacnc.com/plan-your-visit/latest-updates-on-events-at-dpac Though the Gabriel Iglesias comedy show has not been rescheduled yet, we are in discussions with the promoter of that event about new potential dates in the fall. Thanks for your patience as we work through these extraordinary times.

Excellent Venue!
Feb 2020
Its always a pleasure returning to the DPAC and as before the well organized and professional staff make this venue stand out from the rest.

We were welcomed with smiling faces at the door, with just a few minutes to spare and thanks to assistance of the staff we immediately found our seats.

The venue expertly hosted a wonderful show and made for a very pleasant evening.
Cheers!

What a great venue
Feb 2020 • Friends
They have shows or events for everyone. From children shows to beer and wine events, comedians to top Broadway plays. So many events every month, year around. All in a clean safe environment. Food and drinks available for purchase. Lots for friendly people to help find your way to your seats.

Deceptive Purchase Practices - BEWARE
Mar 2020
I purchased tickets to a performance of Giselle with Misty Copeland through DPAC's ticketmaster website. Misty Copeland is injured and now DPAC is refusing to refund my purchase. The tickets were not purchased through another website but apparently they permit third-parties to resell and use this as a buffer to not refund transactions. All transactions however are processed through DPAC's ticketmaster website link. This seems to be a potential deceptive practice. I am disappointed in DPAC and hope for a quick resolution to this situation.

Thanks for this feedback and my apologies that your refund request has caused you concern. In looking at your account we see that your tickets were purchased through Fan-to-Fan resale. This is a program facilitated by Ticketmaster where fans who are unable to attend an event can resale their tickets directly on the purchase pages for DPAC events. When you purchase tickets through Fan-to-Fan resale, you’ll see these labeled as “Verified Resale Tickets.” We apologize, but because DPAC does not receive or retain any money from your purchase, we cannot refund your original method of payment. I have asked my Director of Ticketing to contact you directly to offer you a few "make-good" opportunities of another kind. Thanks again for letting us know about this.

The entertainment at DPAC has always been good. Today was no exception. We did have other business involving a ticket swap today. Their staff is always friendly and professional.

Airplanes have more room
Feb 2020 • Friends
Beautiful venue but the seats were way too cramped. I have more room on an airplane. We had good seats in center orchestra but could not move.

I am sorry that you found our seating uncomfortable on a recent visit. While airplane seats are normally about 17 inches wide, seats at DPAC range from 19 to 22 inches wide and are comparable to most other venues in the region including all the major arenas, performing arts centers and stadiums. Here's a tip for your next visit...look for seating in the Grand Tier, Row H. We always recommend this row to guests looking for more leg room since the aisle here is about 25% wider than most. Thanks again...I hope you might give us another chance in the future to show you how great live events can be at DPAC.

Opened in 2008 and it has a capacity of over 2500 people. Well ranked theatre in America and one of the beat you will find.
