The boardwalk extension is a wonderful way to get about Duck without the heat and traffic along the main road. There are places to sit and look out over the Sound and a few places to launch kayaks. The construction is top notch and blends beautifully with the surrounding flora. We love evening walks and watch the beautiful OBX sunsets... More

You are able to walk the whole of downtown Duck without ever touching the street. Boardwalk runs in between the sound and the shops. Great walk. Very pretty.

This is a very well done boardwalk with shops and nice views. Winter has only a few shops open but still a nice walk.

This is one of the best spots for sunset on the middle of the island. There is a lot of room for many people and the reeds in the front give a great foreground for pics. There are several shops to get a snack and wast a little time before. There is also a small parking lot for the boardwalk... More

My husband and I enjoyed the lovely walk down the boardwalk. We saw birds and geese. We stopped in a few stores and did a little shopping. Great place for pictures. Beautiful surroundings.

This is one if the things that draws us to stay in Duck. I would start my day with a run every morning on the boardwalk. Quiet, peaceful and lots of wildlife. Amazing sunset views. Great little shops and restaurants and Duck Donuts, my daughter's favorite

If you're looking for something to do in the evening, the boardwalk offers great views of the sunsets over the sound. I've always visited Duck in the fall when it isn't busy and it's a great city to relax and enjoy a laid-back beach culture.

No matter what time of day, this boardwalk offers great views. My wife was getting a much-deserved spa treatment at Aqua so my Son and I had about 1.5 hours to ourselves in duck. We started at Aqua and walked all the way to the town hall of Duck to collect our free free rubber ducky. Along the way, this... More

A mile long boardwalk on the calm waters of the sound, offers gorgeous sunsets! Small stores and shoppes along the way provide food, drinks and AC. :) Great for walking, fishing and crabbing. Several entrances/exits at various spots along Duck Rd offer flexibility.
