We thoroughly enjoyed walking the boardwalk and stopping at some shops while we were there. It is stroller accessible which makes it nice for families with little ones. Beautiful views of the sound all along the way.

A small boardwalk with plenty of good shopping and food...all on the water. I bought gifts and enjoyed great coffee and ice cream. A must visit while staying in Duck.

Great selection of shops. Many are pet friendly which is nice because so many people travel with their pets these days. Some shops even have water and treats for the dogs,

The entire walk takes about 15 minutes, but the views are gorgeous. Really peaceful and was excellent for a stroller too. Definitely a “hidden gem” of a walk.

Great way to hit a bunch of shops and eateries while seeing the beautiful sound. You stay away from the auto traffic.

This is a surprisingly extensive water-side boardwalk network, that gives you a beautiful alternative way to get from point to point in town, vs. the sidewalk next to all of the beach traffic. You do have to look for it though, you wouldn't know it...More

If you go during the summer (between Memorial Day and Labor Day) the stores do have evening hours (8-9). Before/after then, most close early (5-6p).
