I hiked up to Hanging Rock and it was a rigorous climb. Well worth the effort. Other trails are wide and well maintained. View is spectacular.

Nice beach - not normally crowded. Adequately staffed with life guards. Only draw back is no beer allowed!

I have been to Hanging Rock many times and will always recommend. Whether hiking, camping, or getting in the water its friendly for all ages and enough miles of trials to make it interesting. 100% recommend

Nice place to visit for a day trip from Raleigh, NC, with several trails to keep you busy, and a few waterfalls to admire, besides the nice views of the Appalachian foothills.

Great place for families, visitor center was amazing, waterfalls were pretty nice, We did Hanging Rock trail, well laid out and marked.

According to the site the park is open every day except Christmas and the office is open 9am-4:45pm daily.
