Captain Samuel and his First Mate Erin were exceptional. Our lively (and slightly obnoxious) crew rented a banana boat for an hour during our family vacation to OBX and let me tell you, it was worth every penny. The booking was straight forward and easy to do the day of and every single person we came into contact with was absolutely wonderful. The girl at check-in (sorry I don't recall your name) was friendly and super helpful with our questions and large group. Captain Samuel and Erin were great at providing instructions on the boat and giving us a hysterical ride. We caught some major air and had some major belly laughs as we each went flying off into the water. If you want to relive the moment and never stop laughing, definitely pay for the professional photos. They are 1000% worth it. Incredible shots and hysterical facial expressions to remember forever. If you are looking for a fun adventure to do next time you are in OBX definitely rent a banana boat. It will not disappoint. And if you are lucky enough to have Samuel to captain your ship and Erin to capture your photos, you will without a doubt have the 10/10 experience we had.

Captain Alan and Knot's Island Hailey please read this. I am verbose, prolix, and redundant (yes, redundant, really) and I want to make sure you read this because much of our fantastic time was based on the personality and ambience of "cool" that you brought to our tubing trip.
Folks, I have spent a lot of money at a lot of beaches (truth be told, my own dad paid for this excursion, but still), and the money spent here will definitely be worth your while.
Alan and Hailey read our group perfectly : they knew that the lot of us wanted some awesome adrenaline rushes, and they certainly provided it for us. It seemed like they were open throttle and throwing wakes to try to make us go flying off . That said they told us that the group prior to ours had four year olds on the tube (life jackets are required for all of course) which meant that North Beach Water Sports will meet their customers' needs no matter how disparate they may be.
Back to our group though: we had six people ranging in age from 12 to 50 (I am the 50) , and we all had an incredible time. My daughter and I asked on the last run of our trip if you were allowed to kneel. Alan said sure and that a girl they had given a ride to the other day did the entire ride on her knees without falling off . Hailey said the girl was " a beast", and the challenge was on!
My daughter and I rode on our knees and didn't get thrown either.
As you can tell, we had a blast (although I may have hurt my shoulder lol) but it had as much to do with the personality of Alan and Hailey as it did the event itself.
In this weird post Covid time , all the beach businesses are trying to recover revenue for a lost year. The ones that will ultimately succeed are the ones like North Beach Water Sports (heehee) who really make a connection with their clients. I would pay more to go to North Beach Water Sports than to go elsewhere for less ( North Beach Water Sports prices are excellent, this is a hypothetical).
We will be back next year, and we hope to see you Captain Alan and Mate Stinky

P.S. All of these pics were taken by Hailey for $40 more. We got over 400 excellent pics! You may as well buy the photo pack because their pics rock AND you aren't gonna want to stand their with your phone or camera out as the boat is rocking and rolling}

We had a blast doing the banana boat for our large group. Captain Alan and his first mate and photographer extraordinaire, Haley did an awesome job making sure the kids had fun and gently inspiring confidence with one of our party who had the jitters. (She eventually rode the banana boat and loved it). They also did a great job accommodating the switching out of riders so that everyone had a chance to ride. If you’re looking for a fun activity to entertain your group, we highly recommend their banana boat ride!

We rented a pontoon boat for 2 hours. The boat was in excellent shape and the dock personnel were friendly and helpful. The one negative was that we returned 30 minutes late and they tried to charge us $200, whereas the regular charge is only $ 240 for two hours. We were never advised of these possible charges which were unreasonable. The customer service person admitted that she failed to inform us of this and that since it was such a slow day, she was surprised that they charged us anything. She was compassionate and understanding but she said it was the owners decision. After discussion we were charged 100 for the late charge. Overall it would have been a great experience except for the hidden charges.

The staff at North Beach Water-sports made for an unforgettable memory from start to finish. Sarah at the front was so helpful and friendly with setting up our appointment and the day of happily got our paperwork done before setting us up to have Kaylee and Mara take us out to the parasailing boat. Both Kaylee and Mara were so kind and even took the time to go back to get my nieces favorite hat when it blew off during the boat trip. Taylor and Samuel on the boat were so friendly explained everything and went above and beyond with making the kids and adults feel safe and understand what will happen. All the kids had a blast and as soon as they were done wanted to go back and said we need to do this next year. We will see you guys again next year.

Great experience from beginning to end. We are family of 5 with 3 boys, ages 16, 14, 12. We booked 2 one hour jet skis and the 800 ft parasailing for the three of them. My children have no previous experience.

The staff were friendly, accessible, knowledgeable, thorough, efficient, and safety driven. Look for co-owner Jamie, but the entire team is engaged and on it.

One suggestion would be a multi experience discount.

If you are staying in Corolla, North Beach Water-sports is the choice.

If the weather and wind didn't make the water so rough, I think my family would have had a better time jet skiing. Unfortunately, it started to pour and thunder when they went out jet skiing, but they still had fun. Aside from that, all of the employees on the pier were helpful. My only concern was how crowded the entire area got, even the booth before you go onto the pier. Not many people social distancing and the employees at that booth should have been wearing masks.

My fiancé and I went parasailing with Samuel, Erin, and Kaylie. It was a total blast! The team was extremely friendly, personable, and put us at ease right away although it was our first time. Samuel and Erin clearly explained every step of the process and we felt very safe and taken care of. We went out with a family of 4 (3 young kids and 1 dad) and they were great working with the kids as well. Another cool feature was the photo package which we opted for ($40 more), where they take photos of you as you’re being strapped in, edging your way off the boat, taking off into the air, and returning. Erin got some great shots of us which we will be printing and framing :) Finally, Kaylie was the coolest captain bringing us out in the water and getting us when done. Thank you to all 3 of these lovely people for an amazing experience :) We can’t recommend North Beach Watersports more highly enough!

Captain Greg catered the experience to the different groups of riders as far a speed and roughness ensuring each had a great time. He was great about stopping for those who were not up for their full ride and very accommodating to different ages.
Parking was tight but there were people to help direct where to go.
The folks checking in were all pleasant and helpful.
The whole experience was great, they ran an excellent experience and it was perfectly on time.

We made reservations for paddle boarding, but when we arrived, we were told by the crew that the water in the Currituck Sound was too choppy for paddle boarding. They offered us intertube or banana boar rides! We took the banana ride and had a ball. I had 3 teenagers and they let me ride in the boat to watch!!! The kids loved it and we would definitely do it again! Tyler, the boat captain and Faith, our guide were awesome. They made it so special for us!
