I wanted to check in early but your policy is 4pm but allowed my family and I to enter the water park at 1pm . So 5pm comes and my room wasn’t ready by then my husband and kids were ready to leave the park to shower get dressed and go eat. No one could tell me when my room would be ready or even offered another room,so I ended up returning our wristbands to receive a refund which I am currently waiting 3-5 business days for. Do better with the alcoholic drinks there was absolutely not enough alcohol in the drinks and were made entirely too sweet. Prices were a little high to me for a kid’s cheeseburger meal. Make sure you have enough staff to run your business properly. We really wanted to enjoy the full Great Wolf Lodge experience and all the amenities you had to offer but wasn’t able to. We lived in Concord,NC for years and have never been here before and when we do my kids have to be disappointed. I really wonder how long we would have had to wait for a room if I stayed. I’m also glad that I didn’t come from out of town cause that would have been even worse than this. I also felt rooms were available for everyone else who wasn’t black and who were from out of town got their rooms and I didn’t . I say that because a woman who I was talking to in line that was in front of me was white and also was waiting for her room to be ready as long as I was waiting and she got hers and I didn’t. Do better.

Went with family & grandkids. The water park has plenty of options to keep kids entertained. However, the service is significantly below what one would expect for a resort & the amount of money you shell out. We reserved & paid for a king bed but got a short queen. Room was fairly clean, with Covid you must request room service or they don’t come to room. There is no ability to check your bill while your at the resort. They say they will email you a statement within 24 hours after checkout, but failed to do so. Neither my daughter’s family or I got our statements until we called. Once we got our statements, between both families, we were over charged in excess of $180! We both had purchased meal packages but got charged for meals anyway. Both had towel charges although we made sure we turned in towels & told attendant each time. We were able to get these charges removed, so be sure to get your statement and verify the charges. Overall, not a great experience.

We were just at great Wolf Lodge over Thanksgiving. It was our first time there. We had a great time and there was a lot to do. The waterpark did not disappoint and the virtual concierge service was amazing! However, the breakfast buffet food was always cold as was the Thanksgiving buffet. In addition I fell down their main stairwell my first morning there. Another guest saw me fall and went and got an employee. The employee identified herself as a manager and brought over a lifeguard who gave me an ice pack and that was it. Nobody ever called to check on me. There was never an incident form filled out. The lifeguard scribbled my name and room number on the back of a piece of paper but that was it. Luckily I am just badly bruised and they did allow us to leave a night early and receive one night refund but the fact that there was nothing documented is concerning to me.

So, we attempted to plan a family vacation, we contacted Great Wolf Lodge Water Park & asked about the rates so that each family member would have an opportunity to manage their budget for the weekend. We were given a quote of $50 half a day and $70 dollars for a full day per adult. Once we arrived, the amount per adult was $150.00 for any age. We were unable to attend the Great Wolf Lodge that weekend. I am not certain that I would want to return at this point.

Lack of open activities (rope course, different closed slides and areas of the waterpark, food places close early with no warning, few options for some-what healthy food). Rude and overly aggressive front desk “manager” who eventually provided a paltry 25% off (only about $82) after I reciprocated with calling him on his ride behavior. Tiny room size, lack offerings and expensive activities (when open) ensure that this “vacation” destination is destined for failure. Front desk manager blamed most issues on the lack of workers.

We only live a couple hours away but decided to stay two nights, play three days in the lodge to allow more time to enjoy & relax. It was awesome!! It’s clean, the food is good, the service is great and even the guests are decent to each other. We love it. The pool is perfectly chlorinated and the lines, some longer than others, are totally doable.
what a great staycation!!

This was our first trip to great Wolf Lodge. The only way we would go back is with a discount. It was OK, but just OK. The room was basic. Definitely no frills. We asked for a second blanket, since the comforter is more like a sheet Housekeeping told us to keep it quiet. Apparently they are not allowed to give more than one blanket per room. The beds were comfy and the resort has a noise ordinance, which was great. We definitely slept well. The water park was great. What kid doesn’t love a water park!? The place was dirty. Gum all over the floor and stairs surrounding the pool. The showers in the locker rooms, were absolutely disgusting. Hair everywhere. Nasty old, sour towels. No soap or shampoo and any of the dispensers. The bathrooms were also nasty. We’re not cleaned the entire time we were there. They should definitely put a cap on the amount of people allowed in the waterpark per day. Fortunately kids don’t notice things like that, but it was very unsafe. There were so many people shoulder to shoulder. It would surprise me if the lifeguards could even find a swimmer that was in trouble. All in all and OK stay. The kids had a great time. I feel like I need to shower for a week . Definitely don’t pay full price.

Average and Mediocre. It could have been so much better! Customer service was average. Our truck was broken into and we were never notified despite an internal text system they could have used to let us know so our Rey k had been vandalized. Because we did not know until we were ready to depart, it caused us to find a window repair company for an emergency. We had to pay extra so we could get on the road. They could come out until 3:30. We had to drive at night to get to our next destination. When I asked to stay in the room until our truck was fixed, they allowed it but they were not overly caring. This Resort doesnot have enough security or surveillance cameras. The security guard was kind and helpful after the incident, however, the rest of their staff was uncaring. It was obvious that this was an ongoing problem.
The food was good but overpriced. Very expensive for a family.
The kids did have fun at the water park and there was plenty to do.
The room was clean and the room cleaning staff was helpful.

While the water park and amenities are nice but overpriced the real problems arise when you check out. We left a mobile charger in our room by accident and a hour after we checked out we started the run around game trying to get someone to answer us so we drove back to the lodge and went in to speak to someone and they said they can’t send anyone to look in the room or in lost and found, we could only submit a online forum to which you can have “said” items shipped at your expense “IF” they find them.I just find it funny they can do anything fast that cost you money but if it’s for free or to help you without benefits for them then you get a excuse and a run around. Remember I drove back to avoid this and save both time and money but that was too much for them about like cleaning under the mattress or couch cushions. #ivealreadypaidsonobodycares

We've been here a few times, and have thoroughly enjoyed, kids have fun, park is very clean, you can tell that's a big priority for them, staff is friendly and helpful. but this past time they originally downgraded our room when we first arrived, we had to go back and switch it only to be given a room as far away as possible, opposite of what we asked for, I have littles that cant walk the best. Turns out they switched our room due to water pipes bursting the previous week. Our new far away room also did not have any hot water for the entire first evening, so we all had to bathe in cold water or go down to the community showers. They did provide us a pizza the next day for our troubles. overall you're stuck once you're there and have to hope for the best if you've traveled far to get there. Its a blessing we did not come the week prior with all the water pipe problems. I hope they are able to get some of the upgrades necessary done to properly maintain their facilities. Otherwise very fun for the family!
I do agree about the buffet comments, definitely on the gross side, for the price you're better off going out to eat since there are lots of options near by.
