About
Our vineyard and winery rest below the beautiful St. Anna Chapel, which is a part of the Eastern Diocese of the Russian Church Outside of Russia. Visitors to Russian Chapel Hills Winery will perhaps be most delighted at being able to visit an authentic, 17th century stile Russian chapel. It is our heritage. You are welcome to discover a new experience in our estate winery.

We selected the wine tasting with 4 pours, ea of which was generous. The 4th of our selection was the Russian wine Kagor, which was very good. We walked out to visit the chapel, and then came back and enjoyed a gloss of wine on the deck. All of the wines we tasted were quite good, and we purchased 3 bottles.
Our visit was on a Friday fall afternoon, and we were lucky to have a limited amount of visitors during that time. We enjoyed talking with Andrey M-he takes great pride in the Winery and what he has created, and rightly so.

Absolute Wonderful Experiance. Andrey, the owner exudes both passion and hospitality. I sampled all the wines, and like other reviewers, settled on the Kagor as favorite. I bought several bottles to give to as gifts to friends. The location is off the beaten path but well worth the drive!

After reading about chapel brought over form Russia located on wineries property I was intrigued to pursue this as a place to visit. Chapel is historic. Services and weddings are still conducted in chapel. Not only did the chapel have an interest to me, I wanted to visit winery's tasting room, retail store. We were greeted from moment we arrived by a welcoming, hospitable host. We did a wine tasting & found their signature wine, Kagor to be our favorite. We purchased several bottles of Kagor. Our experience was enjoyable mostly by the conversation we shared with the host. And finding a good wine to buy.

Guys, this wine is amazing! Having lives in Napa Valley, and having been spoiled by amazing CA wines, I was very impressed with the quality of wines coming form this vineyard. The Rioja was outstanding and the Chardonnay was definitely old word. A++ for this winery. The property was amazing. The tasting room immaculate and cozy, and the Russian Chapel instils thoughts of the old world, and a sense of peace on the soul that leads one to believe that this venture by vineyard owner Andre is truly blessed.

Great hospitality and delicious wines in a gorgeous mountain setting--and the best muscadine wine I have ever tasted!

Excellent wines. Very impressive!
This is a new winery with a great selection of wines, from sweet wines (muscadine) to merlots and chardonnays.

For our 40th wedding anniversary I took my wife on a wine tasting excursion in the Tryon region on North Carolina. After experiencing several other wineries in the area, we were delighted to stumble upon Russian Chapel Hills Winery. This tiny place stuck back off the road, offered the best of all the wines we had tasted. While they host wine grown regionally there in their vineyard, they also have wine specially imported by the owner from vineyards he personally knows in Europe. We bought a mixed case of wine from here and have not been disappointed with a single bottle. Also, there is a special treat for those willing to take the short drive or longer walk to the Russian Chapel that was hand-built on site. It is an authentic, registered Russian Chapel and open for prayer. It is extraordinarily beautiful and peaceful. Indeed a holy place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. What a beautiful spot! Be sure to take your time here. Do a tasting, stroll to the chapel, talk with the wonderful owner and staff. We look forward to going back soon!

We stopped along the way between Spartanburg and Greenville to see this winery. It was much more than expected. The wines are great, tasting is generous and atmosphere very pleasant. We walked up to the chapel through the vineyard, a very special touch.

Our time at this Winery was most certainly unique...the wines were decent, and it was a gorgeous venue, especially with the chapel overlooking the vineyards. The owner was a great host, proud of his product, and very welcoming. We were a little disappointed with a couple aspects: 1. We decided to purchase a glass of wine, and the pours were a little heavier than the tastes. So $7 for a 3 oz. glass of wine. Then he offered us a "sample" of his gelato, it was great, but at no point did he indicate he would be charging us for it...we had to pay $8 for two small scoops of gelato that we thought were free samples. Outside of that, it's a one of kind experience, be prepared to spend a lot of time there, the owner would give tastes, provide rides to his chapel, and leave the shop unattended, so if you're in a hurry, save it for next time.
