Best Visitor Center I have Seen!

Very informative of the area with a focus, naturally, on nature. Very clean restrooms--color me surprised.

Not much to really say about a visitor's center but it was really nice inside and the employees were very friendly.

My husband and I both got our Senior Passes for discount admission to parks and campgrounds across the U.S. While we were there we browsed around. It is a very nice visitor's center and the staff are great - kind, helpful and polite!!!

Great little place. Clean bathroom, free coffee and popcorn. Have brochures for different attractions. Need fishing license, this is where to go. Also on the river. You can sit on the back porch and enjoy the view. Staff are friendly and helpful!!!!

My friend and I became frustrated in town due to all of the "Made in Peru" and "Made in China" tags on the jewelry and crafts in most of the gift and tourist shops, so we stopped in the visitor's center to ask about authentic products made locally. We were quickly pointed to a Cherokee jeweler and the Qualla Arts... More

We were driving from Asheville to Chattanooga along the back roads, and this is a worthwhile place to stop. Many of the shops in the town are peddling the usual tourist tat, but this is different, you get a sense of history here and get the feeling that the staff care about their heritage.

We stopped in here to get some advice and help finding something, and found the employee very kind and helpful. The restrooms were very clean. We arrived famished after spending a long time driving over from Gatlinburg and hiking along the way, and they had free freshly popped popcorn which we thoroughly appreciated!!!

You can get any brochure you want and the staff will answer any questions asked. Great restrooms. There are plenty of parking places. Close to downtown for walking.

If you drive over the mountain to Cherokee be sure to stop by the Visitor's Center. The recreation of the "Farm Homestead" featuring authentic historical buildings provides a look back at years gone by. You won't be sorry you took a few minutes to spend some time stretching your legs and snapping pictures of history!
