We stopped for a picnic and got to explore a bamboo forest! Totally worth the stop just for the bamboo forest.

We went for Day of Mourning to spend time with my mother and we absolutely loved the Christmas display! It was our first time there during this time of year when the mountain was not on fire, so we could safely be out and about. The display is absolutely adorable! I love Christmas décor, so I got absolutely jazzed about this!

My wife & I were passing through Cherokee & decided to stop & spend some down time relaxing in the park. Amenities include picnic tables (some with grills), shaded areas, paved walking trail that winds through the park, fishing, swimming or wading (seasonal), swings to relax by the river & a pavilion with picnic tables & of course you can feed the ducks. Located in the heart of Cherokee. Small parking areas located on either side of the river. Loved the Halloween decorations.

We were with our children and grandchildren and we wanted to stretch our legs. This park was fun. The boys were skipping rocks in the river, and the granddaughter was stacking rocks to form art. There are also photo opportunities through out the park. A fun place to relax and enjoy the quietness of the outdoors.

This is a beautiful site and the storyteller was excellent although the bonfire was very small. The fire did get rid of the bugs and perhaps it was just too warm for a large fire.

A lovely park with lots of room to spread out and nice opportunities to cool off in the creek. Plenty of walking areas and close to hotels for easy access.

We spent a lovely Wednesday afternoon here swimming and picnicking, followed by a captivating storytelling session by Native Cherokees at the Bonfire from 7-9 pm.

This is one of the most beautiful spots to picnic, inner tube, or photograph. Go on nights where they hold a bonfire and tell Indian legends. It’s fun and educational.
