This was the nicest thing to do in cherokee. After a long drive through the mountains. The rest in cherokee was very disapointed. But good enough to find your hotel here.

Very nice public park with water, walking trails, bamboo forest, picnic tables, grills, restrooms and fitness station available. Generally well maintained, however there have been a couple of occasions when I found the trash cans overflowing. This is a great place to cool off and splash around in the river or to clear your head and enjoy nature. The Cherokee... More

Spotless trails and fitness stations as well as ample picnic tables make this park a jewel for locals and tourists. The water is clear and you are welcome to wade on in. On the weekends you can enjoy a bonfire and a Cherokee storyteller will be on hand to share music and stories of their culture.

We suppose the park might be busier on weekends, but today it was a quiet walk along the babbling creek. One family was tubing in the shallow water. Must have been lots of fun from all the giggling and laughing. The trail is mostly paved with concrete. Wooden bridges criss cross the river for walkers. Fishermen can "catch and keep"... More

A few years ago we took our grandkids down to the park for a picnic and some fun in the creek. The water was chilly but perfect on a warm day! We love it down there, so peaceful and relaxing! There are lot's of shade trees and picnic tables, and the water is shallow but in some parts it is... More

What a great park to visit. There's a nice loop walking trail with several bridges. Several picnic areas. The river is shallow, and was being enjoyed by waders, tubers, and a bit further up, fishers. Nice bamboo grove too. Very peaceful even though it's next to the road. Right next to the main Visitor Center too.

Beautiful area...a must! The water was so cold, but felt great. We loved the bridge! Parking wasn't that difficult, we just parked along the side of road

A bit hard to find parking without walking too far, so we parked along the side of the road. It was so peaceful listening to the movement of the water and watching the geese.
