My husband and I visited here strictly to see the "bamboo forest." First, prepare to fend off some bugs. They were everywhere. Flying bugs, spiders, etc. Second, we were saddened by the amount of bamboo that had been vandalized. It was pretty, but not a necessary stop in my opinion.

This is a nice place to have a pic nic, play in the river and just relax. Best to go during the week, weekends can get crazy and crowded. And always try to keep up with local activities that could impede on your plans ( trout tournament) and such. Best part if your real lucky, usually early morning, you will... More

Easy to access and good for small children. We stopped by twice while vacationing with our small children to cool off. The kids played in the water and enjoyed the rocks. Bring water shoes and be careful. Some of the rocks are slippery.

Kids love to play in water on a hot day. Husband loves to fish for trout. Some months of the year has a fishing tournament, you catch a fish with tag you win a prize.

What a nice little park. We brought some sandwiches, fed the ducks, and played in the creek. What a pleasant afternoon!

This island park is beautiful! Its pretty big so their is lots of room to have a party or just to hang out. The river runs through it so you can get wet while you are relaxing. You can fish if you have your fishing lic. also. Most places isn't very deep! Ducks like it to.

This is a wonderful area for a picnic, there are a lot of shaded tables all around the park. The creek is fun to play in the cool water. The restrooms are not the greatest but when you gotta go you gotta go. My family had a great time. Starting on July 1st they have Walk On The Water, a... More

Whether the kids want to splash in the shallow water or get out and swim around, this is a fun place. Nice picnic tables and plenty of room for a larger family gathering. Close to shops in Cherokee, walking distance to Museum and other attractions.
