We were so glad that we planned this trip! It was our sole purpose in visiting Charlotte, but we also enjoyed the friendly down home feel of Charlotte. We spent 3 hrs enjoying the tour and the home place and a walk through the gardens. It would be difficult to do in less than 2 hours. The staff was helpful in keeping the group moving, but I did not feel overly rushed. The story of Billy Graham’s life is inspiring and not preachy. Don’t miss an opportunity to hear about this great pastor, his humble beginnings, and his surrender to faithfully guide presidents and share the Gospel with millions.

This is a must see even a go to. When I read the title with Library in it I thought we would go mainly because I grew up in a family that watched and listened to him whenever he was on tv. From the moment that I saw a huge cross in the barn and the well maintained grounds I thought "library" this isn't a library.
The tour in the barn called "walk of faith" is awesome. The first room talks about how you entered the barn at the "foot of the cross" that hit a nerve in me like wow the foot of the cross where Jesus died for me.
Even thought he has passed away his evangelism is still working to spread salvation to all through Jesus Christ.

Do not rush through! This was unbelievably deep and moving to see Billy Graham’s childhood home, so many pictures from his entire life. The still photos showing the enormous crowds that Billy Graham preached to (472,000 was the largest I saw) and the videos of his heartfelt preaching showed his love for Jesus Christ and his unashamed fervor for sharing the gospel. If I could give a rating of 20, I would. Ruth’s bookstore is amazing, too, and we had both breakfast & lunch at the cafe inside. Be sure and visit the prayer garden where Billy and his wife are buried. It is serene and lovely. Don’t rush through but DO go and visit this amazing treasure.

Our first visit to Charlotte and checking Google all sites rate Bill Graham Library in the top 2.
Decided to check out we both knew of Billy Graham but only from news clips and media.
Well We spent over 4 hours and walked away with a better understanding of all the entire journey of life dedicated to educating the world
on Christianity.
Go if you are in the area ...it was simply a wonderful place and experience.

A beautiful experience. The displays were professionally created and presented. This experience was more than a mere museum and history of Billy Graham's life and ministry. We were entranced in every gallery. The two hours we allotted were inadequate, so we plan another visit in the spring.

I enjoyed the story of Billy Graham and his life story. I was very wowed about his travels and how he met his wife and reading and listening to his vocal and he believes. I've visited Billy Graham Library 3 times already and I can't wait until my brothers visit me in Charlotte so I can take them there.

This museum tells the story of how God took an ordinary farm boy from North Carolina and shaped him into the world's best known evangelist. Each exhibit leads you to the next in smooth transitions. At the end of the tour, there's an excellent gift/book shop. Also on the grounds are the burial sites of Billy and Ruth Graham, Cliff and Wilma Barrows, and George Beverly Shea, as well as the home Billy grew up in. We look forward to returning on a future visit; this was our first.

Billy Graham has been an Icon in our history. Not only was he inspiring but he traveled the world and advised presidents on spirituality. Very interesting to me that I just learned that my mother and one of her best friends sang at a revival in Denver in the 70’s! Who would’ve thunk.
A highly recommended venue in Charlotte should you be open or are a believer!

This experience was well worth the trip. You can feel God's presence and it renewed my faith. Learning about Billy Graham's life and legacy was eye-opening and encouraging. It was free to get into the museum and it was more like an attraction. Each room was unique to a particular time frame in his life. Every room had a message that was heart-felt. The staff were welcoming and kind. Great experience, overall!

The entire experience was wonderful. We were so happy we got back on 77 after getting off to go on less traveled roads, and happen to stop at Exit 2 where the lady who we talked with was so helpful. Anyway we asked if there was anything to see nearby and she told us the Graham Library was just 3/4mi off exit 6. It had been in my thoughts to one day visit it but we were always in a hurry to go home, a long trip.
The library and museum is done so lovingly and it is just lovely, and peaceful. The lawns are keep up so well, as are the buildings we were in. This museum has so much information about the life and life's work of Billy Graham and the family. What a legend he is to so many. This is free entry but they will take donations. There is a book store within the confines and a place to eat. The burial places of Billy G, and his wife are on the grounds as well as Cliff Barrows, and George Beverly Shea. The home his father built that he lived in until he went to college was moved about 4 mi to this place. So meaningful.

We will only be able to visit for about a hour maybe a hour and a half. Is that possible or do we have to take a actual tour to see exhibits? Thank you.

if you have an hour and a half and get right in the tour line, you can do it. (you can leave the tour at any time). It is not all talking,, they just guide you from room to room and are available if you have questions. tell them you are on a time crunch and you may have to leave the tour early or go thru faster.. they are super nice there.

The parking lot was large and I think you could get two spots to pull through. I would call the Library and ask to make sure though.
It says no smoking on the grounds. Is there somewhere nearby in walking distance?

The house may be tricky but the actual library is wheelchair accessible. The house is most likely accessible due to NC laws but it has only a small portion open to the public.
