The term Library I thought it was just gonna be looking at books… Some of the adjectives I could use would be beautiful, emotional powerful inspirational. I would highly recommend if you have the opportunity to spend time in this special placeThank you so much for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad you enjoyed it. - Bill P6 contributionsHighly recommended for anyone in CLTI have wanted to go for many years and it far surpassed all expectations. I love the history that it shares and while Billy Graham lived an amazing life, the museum/library is really not as much about him as it is the God he served. I appreciate the humility Billy as well as his wonderful family. Highly recommended. Thanks for your visit and for sharing your review! We're very glad to know everything exceeded your expectations. - Britain R143 contributionsDon’t Miss the Billy Graham Library!!From the time you pull up to the gate are the Library, you are met with a beautiful facility placed on well-manicured grounds. And every person that we interacted with, from the guard at the gate to the young man in the parking lot to the entire staff of the library itself, treated us with an enthusiastic welcome and genuine caring. The facilities are incredible and the message of God’s Love for us are in every facet of the experience. Truly one of the best things we have ever done in Charlotte. Will definitely be back!Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit and found our incredible staff and volunteers to be so inviting. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and the tour inside Billy Graham's boyhood home is very special. The library has excellent video and memorabilia displays that give visitors a full picture of the amazing life of this very special man and his family. Billy and Ruth Graham's gravesites are located on the grounds a short walk from the library entrance. All of the docents are very kind and helpful. - JJT294 contributionsHigh quality, impressive place!Although it is called a “library,” this place is also a wonderful museum of the life and ministry of Billy Graham and the people he worked with. With free admission, free parking, and super nice employees, the buildings are definitely worth a visit! The main barn-shaped building contains the “Journey of Faith,” a tour of several rooms with state-of-the-art large screen videos and high-quality displays with photos and information of his many accomplishments. The reconstructed home from his childhood years in Charlotte is decorated realistically, with many of the original building materials, furnishings, and memorabilia. Ruth’s Attic bookstore contains unique gifts and books that provide evidence of his wife’s priority of great literature. High on the walls are built-in bookshelves containing books from Billy Graham’s own personal library. Other nice features of this place are the dairy bar which also has delicious lunch items, and the nearby (down a street) Billy Graham Archive & Research Center with sermons, videos, historical records, and other ministry materials, some of which are also available to view online. Very inspiring place!Thank you for your kind and detailed review. We are so happy to hear about your experience at the Library! Please come back and visit us again soon. We have lived in Charlotte for 6 years but have never seemed to manage to make it here or buy tickets before they sold out. This year I started watching out in early November for ticket sales and we bought them right away. We went for everything. First thing we did was go in and have the tour. It was wonderful. Very informative and uplifting. Then we went over for the dinner. It was delicious. It was a buffet and they serve you. You get plenty of food and we left stuffed. You get your choice of turkey or ham or both. We both enjoyed the turkey more. You get gravy, stuffing, green beans, sweet potato casserole rolls and a salad. The salad was delicious. You also get on the table. There are pieces of red velvet cake or a cheesecake. That was the best cheesecake I've ever had in my life. It was delicious. There are also pictures of water and unsweet and sweet tea on the table. You sit at a table of 8 or 10 people so you are sitting with people you don't know unless you come with a large party. It was very fun and the people were friendly. After that we went over and walked the grounds a little bit. You get to go into Billy Graham's home that he grew up on. They actually moved the original house over and it is fun to see. They also have a live nativity scene with all the animals. We finished the night by going on a horse carriage ride. It was fun to do once, but I wouldn't do again. It was a very short ride around the grounds and you don't really see very much and it is pretty short. It was fun to do once. Overall. This is a very enjoyable night out.

My spouse and I visited the Billy Graham Library on 2/11/25. The grounds are beautiful despite the cold and drizzle. Every person we met was so helpful and kind. The displays were full of information, abundant with history, and held many stunning artifacts. The Graham home was lovely and the docent was very knowledgeable. We dined in the Dairy Bar enjoying chicken wraps. Ruth's Attic is a wonderful shop full of Bibles, gifts, children's books, as well as adult Christian reading. Immediately after viewing the museum displays, an employee offered prayer requests and she prayed with me. It was a memorable, peaceful, Christ-centered experience. Just go.

A must see in Charlotte! The walk-through museum does an incredible job at telling the story of Billy’s life and legacy. He truly changed the world and it is so important to keep his impact front and center. We also enjoyed walking the grounds and seeing the gardens. I attended the museum with my 11-year-old son and we finished our visit with ice cream.

Didn’t really know what to expect visiting the library. It is true. It is not a library. It is so much more. You start by walking though the bottom of the cross and journey through his life of evangelism…..very moving. Each room has lots of information on the wall and some rooms have short videos. When you finish the journey, a staff member asks if you have a prayer request. You fill out the card and someone prays with you. I thought that was really meaningful. Then you end up in the “book store” (another name for gift shop). Very well stocked with almost any book or other Christian items. Then walk the grounds to the burial place form he and his wife. The house where he grew up is also on the property and you can tour the first floor of that house. The staff and volunteers are just the best. Highly recommend you spend some time here. It’s free only if you don’t buy something at the bookstore!!

This is a truly classy and well documented museum dedicated to the life of a man determined to faithfully serve God through out the course of his life. As you move from one exhibit to the next, you will see how God clearly guided and provided for him throughout the course of his ministry. I was afraid the mechanical cow at the beginning would be a little silly, but it was a fun light-hearted way to introduce his childhood and contrasted the seriousness he took to his call to the ministry. The point of a simple farmer's son becoming a world evangelist is clear. Each exhibit detailed each portion of his life, but it is always clear the reason for his work. We see how he boldly proclaimed the truth to celebrities of the day. They can't say they never heard the true Gospel! The Gospel presentation at the end is powerful and anointed. I was moved deeply. The Graham Brothers cafe served tasty and filling sandwiches at a reasonable price. I enjoyed the chicken salad wrap! The prayer garden which includes the graves of the Grahams was a classy touch. The is a sweet spirit there.
This is a highly recommended place to visit. It is only a short ride off I-85 and time we'll spent.

I have heard of this place for so long. Billy Graham actually led my mom and husband to Christ, it was one of his last times to preach the gospel to a live audience. The fact that you enter at the foot of the cross is so moving. The self guided tours are so easy and really showcase his life through the years. Such an amazing blessing and a treasure to see. Praise the Lord for all Billy Graham accomplished in his life time.

Amazing, the staff were wonderful and helpful and informative. You come back with a different perspective on the man, the legend billy Graham.
The tour was free so no need to bring money unless you are going to purchase food and or merchandise from the bookstore.

This was an unexpected blessing. We were in town to go to the NASCAR Hall of Fame museum and chanced upon the road sign on the ride down.
And I do mean, literally, a blessing.
Forget the fact every exhibit was extremely well done - innovative and inspiring.
Forget the fact the bookstore did not focus solely on Billy Graham and his works; many authors were given shelf space.
Forget, even, the fact the milkshakes were out of this world.
Only remember this - the Billy Graham Library may be the library of Billy Graham but its focus is Jesus Christ.
It truly honours Dr Graham by primarily focusing on our Lord and Saviour; just as he did.

This is a great history of Billy Graham---reminding visitors of the impact he has had on so many people. Very kind guides help you see the entire place which is called a library but is more of a museum and history lesson. Contains a very strong Christian message.

do they ask for your information? I have tremendous respect for Billy Graham and I really want to check out this library and museum but I am hesitant to visit as I am a catholic and I do not want them to have my info to contact me.

We will only be able to visit for about a hour maybe a hour and a half. Is that possible or do we have to take a actual tour to see exhibits? Thank you.
Written June 15, 2021
if you have an hour and a half and get right in the tour line, you can do it. (you can leave the tour at any time). It is not all talking,, they just guide you from room to room and are available if you have questions. tell them you are on a time crunch and you may have to leave the tour early or go thru faster.. they are super nice there.
