Directly across from the Charlotte Convention Center, Green Park was nicely landscaped with statues, fountains, seating, botany, and food places. It being Saturday, only pizza, wings and British-Brazilian available. Lines were long. The place was placed.

Great little park. A true oasis in a big city. It's small, yet peaceful when we visited on a holiday weekend. Very green, a touch of whimsy to make it friendly. I hope Charlotte's people really appreciate this -- SO much better than a parking lot or just one more building.

Stumbled upon this park and loved it. Has some great sculptures (stack of books, fish fountain, open book) but also well maintained landscape. The path has shade - which was amazing on a hot Charlotte day!
Loved the literary themed direction signs.

Out exploring Charlotte and came across this little park. Very well maintained with pretty plants and statuary. The parking garage allowed easy access to the park. Everything was immaculately clean, stairwell, elevator, and restrooms! Stop by and see this little gem!

This little park centrally located downtown is a well appointed oasis. The entry has bronze sculptured pillars set on classic novels. Excerpts in large print are “littered” across the park and give a whimsical feel to the serene setting of the park. I always find it a nice touch when cities are intentional about dedicating prime real estate to green areas and parks when it would be more lucrative to sell the property. Well done Charlotte!

This park is a great place to take some very nice pictures. It’s across from the Mint Museum and down the street from the Harvey B Gannt African American Arts and Culture Center.

There’s not a lot of things to do in Charlotte although it’s a big city but you should go and walk, and enjoy the good bars and restaurants.

Beautiful and creative green space / small park in heart of downtown Charlotte! Loved the book / reading / author theme so well done with directional signs, blowing book pages and poems inscribed on walkways. Make it part of your visit for a 15 min walk through or hang out on the small lawn for hours. Sweet spot!

If you're in the Uptown area, take a half hour or so and walk through the park. There is plenty to discover in every nook and cranny. It's unique, not just another park.

The Green, 425 South Tryon Street, located between Tryon St and College St, and E Stonewall and E 2nd St in the 2nd Ward is a whimsical delight. From sitting on furniture taken from Lewis Carrol's “Alice's Adventures in Wonderland”, to watching young children frolicking under the four immense fish fountains, two stacks of books 20 feet high leaning as though there about to fall, solving a word puzzle, or figuring out how far it is to get to the different towns that make up the name of Edgar Allen Poe and other famous authors. Or for just eating lunch and taking a break, this is a must see destination.
