We drove around the neighbourhood to see the houses and they were lovely to see - it makes you feel like you are in the Southern USA. In fact, there were many areas in Charlotte that had lovely houses. Charlotte is a pretty city all...More

Great Vibes of a beatiful restored neighborhood. If you have a car or wish to just walk through the neighbor hood you will not be disapointed.

The houses in this area are incredible. I love the area and the history of the ward. We didn't take the tour but would definately do it if we had the time. The park was great to and the residents were so nice and helpful.

This seemed to be the only area in downtown Charlotte that looked historic, so its worth a 5 minute drive through the few streets along side this park to get a feel for these beautiful historic homes. But the area is only a few blocks,...More

What an adorable area of Uptown Charlotte! I read online that this was a beautiful, and historic place to walk around. I loved it, all the old buildings, some were brick, and some colorful. Definitely a fun place to walk around.

A little gem of a place. Perhaps slightly small to be called a park, but a lovely area of communal lawns and plant beds with some nice water features and an open library box, which we found to be particularly welcoming. We enjoyed our brief...More

Great tour! Get a good one that knows the neighborhood. Well they all do. Christmas is the best time! Be sure you see it during Christmas. Great bars and places to eat. Be sure to see "The Tavern", it is great. Jim T

I loved Freedom Park. Could spend all day there. This one I will avoid. Tight street. No parking. Walking trails are not to be found. The homes are nice but could do that in a car and get it done quicker.

Beautifully restored homes along brick lined streets take you back through to Charlotte's past. Quaint neighborhood. There is a park nearby with a wealth of civil war history. There is also a bed and breakfast and a fantastic restaurant that is a culinary must do.
