    GO HORNETS GO
The last time I came to the Spectrum Center, the star player Lamelo Ball was injured, but the Hornets still electrified the whole entire place by playing their hearts out. Although they fell short of the win, the game was great, at halftime, I walked to a concession stand and the service was magnificent. If you are in NC and want to have an entertaining night just pull up to a game.

A Good Time - But Confirm Understand their Policies
Visited the Spectrum Center while watching Paramore with family. Had no problems with the concert which was amazing, but did have issues with some of the stadium's policies. They didn't allow bags of any kind, not even transparent ones and they did not display this on their site. I understand if they wanted to prevent any lighters, e-cigarettes or other items, but I figured that would easily reviewed with transparent bags. Had to head back to the vehicle a few times for some things we had forgotten just to return most of our items back before entering. Missed part of the opening acts, but overall many concessions to choose from. We had great seating.

Overall review of The Spectrum Center: Vape policies, Camping, Pit, Security, Nosebleeds, Views, a little of everything!
I’ve been to this venue multiple times and never had many issues. Other than the fact that the nosebleeds are at a terrifying slant. hah. There are merch places located around the arena depending on the show. I’ve had great views from the nosebleeds as well as the pit. I camped for The 1975 show in a October, I feel like the camping situation was handled very well by The Spectrum Center, The 1975’s team, and the fans who helped organize it. Of course it’s not the safest being outside The Spectrum Center at night, though I felt comfortable with the other fans. In the morning there were some issues but I felt like they were handled well. There’s plenty of parking lots as well as a pretty big parking deck right across the street. After we got wrist bands we got to leave and come back a few hours before the show. The security process is good and quick. Though if you have a vape THEY WILL TAKE IT. There are normally piles of vapes near the door. At The 1975 concert, before the show started, I was near a girl who got a vape in, she used it, and the security started shining a flashlight at her in the crowd and made her give it to him, it was crazy. don’t take them in if you really love them! Once we got in the venue Id say we had about 15 minutes to use the bathroom and get merch. Then we were lined back up in order and walked down into the pit. They didn’t hand out many water cups in the pit if i remember correctly. I had a pretty good view of the stage. There were a few weirdos in the pit but ik they can’t help that. After the show they will try to get you out of the arena pretty fast, we barely had time to get merch after before they started kicking us out, the lines were so long too. It’s not the newest or nicest arena but I feel like it Overall gets the job done it was a good experience and I really like this place.

Spectrum Center has speakers on the stage for performers so that if you are within range of the speakers, which I assume is at the floor level, you may be able to hear the words and the music.

Those of us in the second level who are above the speakers are destined to an evening of reverberation and hearing as if through a wall. We spent a fair amount on tickets to Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers. I'm sure they are wonderful artists, but tickets should not be sold on the second tier and above. You will not be able to hear the lyrics, the solo performances by the artists and you'll have an evening of bass beats that drown out everything else. There are a lot of other venues in town that support a better listening experience, but Spectrum is not one of them. Save your money, stay at home and listen to your Spotify playlist on your speakers and you'll have a more enjoyable evening.

That Spectrum Center sells tickets in spaces that are auditorially unacceptable, says to me that they place ticket sales over customer experience. Again, Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers are not at fault. I'm sure they're great singer songwriters.....we were excited to get to hear them. But I will not return to Spectrum Center for music. It's like listening to your neighbors having a party where all you can hear is the bass beat and none of the words.

Went to this venue to see Genesis show 11/20. Sat in section 116, row N, seats 1 & 2. This section has its own little bar area. We went to bar and got two liquor drinks and one beer before the start of the show. Two options for liquor drinks, deluxe which is a single and luxury which is a double. Ordered two singles and received two singles and a beer. Later on in the show decided to get one more drink, asked for a single. I saw the bartender pour a double so when I went back to my seat I checked my credit card to check my charges. I was charged for a double. Upon reviewing this charge I realized I was overcharged for my first transaction, I was charged for two doubles and the beer, my first charge should have been about $36+20% tip and I was charged $67. Second transaction should have been $14 for single and tip but was charged $26. I brought this to the bartenders attention and he "texted the manager". I waited for a few and said, how long is this going to be, I am missing my show. The bartender literally started throwing cash on the bar saying how much do I owe you. He knew he got caught! I emailed the venue and have yet to hear back. I suggest if you visit this venue and buy liquor drinks, you are checking the charges. They do not show you charges, only the tip option, no receipt. They have some shady bartenders. I hope to hear back from the venue to see how they will handle this issue and will update my review. If you were at this show, check your credit card!

I called several times, because every time I try to pay my bill with my credit card or bank card Spectrum Center payment system will not let me pay, so I spoken to Marcy 1st and she tried to help, and when she wasn't able, she gave me the next level, so I spoke to Michelle, and she was not able to help, but both of them was very nice and professional. I called back and reach someone name Susan, and she had the same trouble too. she said to me that that I keep pay with a check account, I told her that I shouldn't have to keep using the a check account when I am using the card from that account. Susan said what is the checking account number, I gave her and I said to her, that I know that you are not charging me the five for that payment, she said you know if a agent do it that you will be paying five dollars, I said why did you do it and didn't tell me that you was going to charge me, I said that I was told that I will not get charge. Susan start being very un-profession and rude, so I ask to speak to a manager and she had me on hold for awhile so she can tell Tim the supervise her untrue version of the story. Tim apologize and went to tell me about the five dollars fee, and to let me know that Marcy gave me a five courtesy fee wave around 11:29pm and that I will see it on the next bill, and they can just give one five dollars fee wave within 12 months. I let Tim know that I was still not satisfied how I was treated by Susan.

Worst possible experience I could have imagined. I put down a $200 deposit two months prior to the schedule release to from what I was told secure my seats for the royal box section for me and my son for the warriors game. When the tickets became available they were already completely sold out as if they had no availability information. At this point I was told I could purchase nosebleeds at best and that I could not get my money back but only apply the money towards other seats to a different game which is a complete scam. They completely misrepresented the sale and my 6 year old son hasn’t stopped talking about this game since back in June and now I’m left picking up the pieces of this mess and still having not received feedback or my deposit.

I went to a concert at this venue in November 2023. The performer was AWESOME, the venue was not great. Mainly it was a disaster to try and get into the venue and go through security. I am talking nearly an hour in an unorganized crowd trying to filter into a few doors. No metal racks or people trying to get the crowd into lines. It was just a mess.

Additionally, it was really hard to find info on their bag policy online. It was buried in an odd spot on an FAQ page and it didn't even have a bag header. I saw a lot of women in front of me having to empty out their bags in front of me and leave them behind.

They also have a policy where they will no longer sell bottles, they only will pour things into cups. This would not be a problem if the seats had cup holders. As it was, I had several cups knocked over behind me, which all trickled down to my feet.

The concourse area was nice and there were plenty of bathrooms and food vendors.

I have been to a number of arenas and this was definitely one I will avoid in the future if at all possible.

Had a bad experience/unfortunate incident which is too long winded to type here...long story short, a representative contacted me to apologize for the treatment I received yet didn't do anything to remedy the situation, so I guess really not THAT sorry. The conversation accomplished nothing except to waste my breath and get me upset again. Get your act together Spectrum Center. Will not be returning nor do I recommend this venue.

I came to a NBA game a couple of years ago while in the area and recently came back for a concert and this is a great concert venue. The hornets game was fun too but the acoustics were great and the staff was very helpful and nice. Wouldn’t hesitate to visit again next time I’m in town

Visited the Spectrum Center for our first NBA game. If you have not been to an NBA game before, it is quite an experience. We had lower level seats in the corner. Views were excellent. Our seats were in section 107 which allowed us a great view of the visiting teams bench. Pretty good food options at the arena. Overall a good game day experience with no complaints. Would certainly visit again to watch the Hornets.

This is one of the best arenas in the country that I’ve been in in terms of layout and acoustics. But, I was there for the CIAA Tournament and only the lower bowl of seats was open, which was still more than adequate. This venue is just too big for this event. Nevertheless, I have to say that even looking up at the nose bleed seats was a bit scary and I can’t imagine how frightening the climb up or down would be, especially for an older person. Fortunately, I didn’t have to experience that, so my visit was extremely pleasant. Oh, and the staff here is just wonderful. Hard to find a nicer bunch of people.
