I am a huge sports fan (mainly NFL and college football and tinge NHL). So anytime hubby and I go anywhere need to take pix of either/or NFL /NHL /college football stadiums. (So far got Tampa Bay buccaneers/Steelers of course our hometown/Titans/buff bills/jets/clev browns) and...More

Well I went to see my Baltimore Ravens face the Carolina Panthers and although was disappointed with the outcome the facility itself was nice. Plenty of restrooms and not long lines. High prices food at the concession stand but that is every major league stadium....More

I like the stadium a lot, especially when the Panthers are winning. I park at the Nascar Hall of Fame and make the 15 minute walk up to the stadium. The parking is cheap and it is easy to get out.

The stadium is easy to get to and the staff is always helpful and cheerful. Despite the long crowds before kickoff, the staff does a great job getting everyone in the stadium safely and efficiently.

Very few events, nice large stadium with reasonable in and out. Bd prepared to walk the ramps to get to the 500 levels since moving attendees up and down not a strength. Concessions typically over priced and options limited as you can imagine. Parking is...More

Love the atmosphere of everything about Charlotte and The Carolina Panthers. This stadium is awesome and Know that it's going to be greater when they remodel. Employees at this stadium are friendly and helpful and the fans are great. I know this year wasn't grand...More

We took our sons to their first NFL game. It was absolutely great! We parked for 5 dollars and then walked up to the stadium. It was a bit of a walk, but no worries! I did not know that your purse had to be...More

Visited the stadium for a Panthers/Falcons game. The stadium overall is great -- big, open restaurant areas, clean bathrooms, comfortable seats. The only negative was getting in -- the lines for security were long, especially the very limited clear bag lines (most lines were for...More

Visited the stadium while in the area for the Belk Bowl game Virginia Cavaliers vs South Carolina Gamecocks. Huge stadium with nice seats and the bathrooms were clean. It was a plus that Virginia won!!!

It's not a problem at Bank of America stadium - we always have opposing team fans spread all about the stadium, and if everyone is in good fun, there aren't issues. Enjoy the game!

There are quite a few nice museums in uptown Charlotte that are walking distance form most uptown hotels. The Gantt African-American art museum, The Museum of the New South (history), the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, and the uptown branch of the Mint Museum (art) are some good ones to start with. There is also the NASCAR Hall of Fame (it's a bit like a museum with some interactive stuff). If the weather is cooperative you could visit Romare Bearden Park. Or you could take a waking or Segway...More

Bank of America Stadium (2 Replies)
Hey all. Will be in town for a soccer game tomorrow at the Bank of America. Was wondering how the area around the stadium is? It seems like there a ton of parking lots to park, but is it safe to park in any of those and walk to the stadium? Any certain area/streets I should avoid? Also, is there any place for a quick lunch (Five Guys, Chipotle, etc.) closeby the stadium? Thanks in advance

It's pretty safe area all around the stadium so I wouldn't worry about parking that much. As far as where to eat, it really depends on where you park. If you decide on the the parking garage on Graham / Mint, I'd take a short walk over to Valhalla pub. Great cold beer and pub food. There's pretty much anything you want in uptown around Tryon street (including 5 Guys) but it is a bit further of a walk.

Monday Morning Traffic (1 Reply)
Hello, Later this month i'll be travelling from Bank of America stadium (or 500yds from there) to the airport, we're flying at 10am and will be leaving for the airport to get there 90 minutes at the latest prior to our flight and wondered what time rush hour kicks in on a Monday morning as I believe we need to go on the 77 which i see mentioned as being a hotspot. In the UK Monday mornings are perhaps the worst for travelling and you can be stuck in traffic at 6:30am (on my commute...More

You will not need to get on 77 to get to the airport. You go straight down Wilkinson Blvd ( U.S. 74). Rush hour from the west is in full swing between 6:30 and 7 and flows busily until about 9:00. But, most is come into town, not going out. Leave two hours ahead and barring a wreck, you'll get to the airport in 20 minutes or so.
