Visited the stadium for a Panthers/Falcons game. The stadium overall is great -- big, open restaurant areas, clean bathrooms, comfortable seats. The only negative was getting in -- the lines for security were long, especially the very limited clear bag lines (most lines were for...More

Visited the stadium while in the area for the Belk Bowl game Virginia Cavaliers vs South Carolina Gamecocks. Huge stadium with nice seats and the bathrooms were clean. It was a plus that Virginia won!!!

The security lines are VERY slow and the people are often inattentive. Once inside the stadium its pretty good! The club level is very good!

Came here for the Belk Bowl and the stadium is beautiful! Plenty of options for parking within a short walking distance. Bathrooms are clean, stadium was clean, and concessions were decent. Had a great time!

Attended the 2018 Belk Bowl at this stadium. Unfortunately my team failed to show up for the game but we still had a nice time. First time visit, the layout of the stadium was good, the seats comfortable and the weather this day was perfect....More

Attended Belk Bowl here. Bathrooms were clean, I don't get why they don't have touchless faucets though, that was unexpected. I like that you get free refills on popcorn bucket or stadium cup. There are Pepsi stands, with an attendant (if there are issues) where...More

I admit, I am mostly an MLB fan and have attended games at many different stadiums in many different states - Go Cubs!. This was my first NFL game. And although I was not really a fan of either team (Go Bears!), I was in...More

It's not a problem at Bank of America stadium - we always have opposing team fans spread all about the stadium, and if everyone is in good fun, there aren't issues. Enjoy the game!

There are quite a few nice museums in uptown Charlotte that are walking distance form most uptown hotels. The Gantt African-American art museum, The Museum of the New South (history), the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, and the uptown branch of the Mint Museum (art) are some good ones to start with. There is also the NASCAR Hall of Fame (it's a bit like a museum with some interactive stuff). If the weather is cooperative you could visit Romare Bearden Park. Or you could take a waking or Segway...More

Bank of America Stadium (2 Replies)
Hey all. Will be in town for a soccer game tomorrow at the Bank of America. Was wondering how the area around the stadium is? It seems like there a ton of parking lots to park, but is it safe to park in any of those and walk to the stadium? Any certain area/streets I should avoid? Also, is there any place for a quick lunch (Five Guys, Chipotle, etc.) closeby the stadium? Thanks in advance

It's pretty safe area all around the stadium so I wouldn't worry about parking that much. As far as where to eat, it really depends on where you park. If you decide on the the parking garage on Graham / Mint, I'd take a short walk over to Valhalla pub. Great cold beer and pub food. There's pretty much anything you want in uptown around Tryon street (including 5 Guys) but it is a bit further of a walk.

Monday Morning Traffic (1 Replies)
Hello, Later this month i'll be travelling from Bank of America stadium (or 500yds from there) to the airport, we're flying at 10am and will be leaving for the airport to get there 90 minutes at the latest prior to our flight and wondered what time rush hour kicks in on a Monday morning as I believe we need to go on the 77 which i see mentioned as being a hotspot. In the UK Monday mornings are perhaps the worst for travelling and you can be stuck in traffic at 6:30am (on my commute...More

You will not need to get on 77 to get to the airport. You go straight down Wilkinson Blvd ( U.S. 74). Rush hour from the west is in full swing between 6:30 and 7 and flows busily until about 9:00. But, most is come into town, not going out. Leave two hours ahead and barring a wreck, you'll get to the airport in 20 minutes or so.
