We came here on a Friday, and quite easily spent 6 hours very enjoyably. First let me say that out of 7 people, only two of us are avid NASCAR fans. We also had two children in tow. We opted for the $50 package, and it was worth every penny for a full day of entertainment.
The staff were absolutely amazing, very friendly and interesting, and helped enormously with getting the most out of things like the simulators and the pit stop. Everything, and I mean everything, was wheelchair accessible. There was so much to look at, and so many interactive exhibits, that none of us got bored at any point. There were lots of places (including a huge theatre) where you could sit down and take a break, and watch a quick movie on things like the history of the sport.
Lunch was included in the package, which meant we didn’t need to spend more money or leave the museum… with two cars and seven people to wrangle, we were very grateful for this! I had a pop, a bag of chips, and a really excellent pulled pork sandwich that kept us full until dinner.
Also included in the ticket were very nicely done pictures, and $10 per ticket off the souvenir shop. We blew through that pretty quickly!!
The best part of the day was the iracing simulators, which we never had to wait more than 5 minutes to use. We spent probably 2-3 hours on these, which are set up to race on whichever track is next (in our case, we were able to race Martinsville). Every one of our group, from 9 years old to 40, had a blast with these things.
I will also mention how attentive the staff were. They were all so wonderful, and you can tell how much they enjoy being there. One of the managers was out walking around, and stopped to offer to take a photo of my husband and I.
If you’re in Charlotte, even if you aren’t a big NASCAR fan, don’t miss this place. $50 for a full day’s entertainment was totally worth it, and ended up being the cheapest day of our entire vacation (minus the many, many souvenirs my husband bought!). Thanks for a wonderful day!

I am not a NASCAR fan, but I really enjoyed this museum. I know some of the big names, but that's about it. there wer lots of cars to look at -and so much information on Nascar. There were quite a few interactive things to do. You can put on headphones and you get to pretend like your telecasting the event.. The words are on the screen and you just speak as if you are telling the fans the race details. there was a simulated drive course where you felt like you were driving in the race. that was fun - even tho I'm not the best driver. You could also pretend you were part of the pit crew and act like you were changing a tire and filling the gas tank-as you are being timed. It was a very fun afternoon.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame, cool place. Who knew? 🚘 The history of NASCAR started in 1947. Be sure to “drive” the race track, pretty realistic simulator (which does cost extra). Some neat important cars on display, along with uniforms and trophy’s. Danica Patrick holds multiple female driver records. There is a life-sized Lightning from Disney•Pixar's "Cars" just outside the entrance to the Hall of Honor. A general admission ticket costs $25.00 and is discounted for seniors over 65 and kids under 12.

My husband used to watch some NASCAR as a kid, I did not and really do not know much about it. I figured he would appreciate it and I didn’t mind checking it out. There’s a few different ticket options, I would recommend getting a ticket that allows you to do the simulation experience. As someone not knowing much about the sport, I did not think I would be interested, but looking back, I’m glad we did.
There’s 4 levels, starting on level 1 working your way up to level 4. There is a theater on the main level (level 1) playing a short 10 minute film on the history. It’s a quick film and it’s worth the watch. There’s interactive things along the way, scanning your badge, and you can create a memory book from your experience. On level 1, the track was pretty neat, feeling the different levels of degree some tracks have along the the feel of the track. There’s some more information about the hall of fame guys on the 2nd level but I thought the real fun was on level 3. This is where the interactive simulation was.
You get to be apart of the pit crew and race against others. This is where the simulator pass comes in handy (it’s unlimited with how many times you race) and we certainly went a few times. Make sure you get qualified so you know how to handle the car before you set up to go racing (the staff was super helpful and energetic to give you the best experience possible). Then your off! You get to see your place amongst your group and overall for the day. It was fun The last level was more history related things and a timeline of the sport.
A great experience! You could really spend a lot of time here reading all of the history and participating in the memory book building along the way. I recommend!

I visited Charlotte with the intentions to look around the city but due to the weather being a bit poor we took to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. I’ve been to Charlotte many times, unfortunately I never got the chance to visit the museum given the covid situation. However on this rainy Sunday I got the opportunity and I wasn’t disappointed. Now I must be honest I really don’t know much about NASCAR being British nd all. But what an experience it was, the place was very well set out, well staffed and had very modern tech to the point where you check in and make a personal profile for yourself so if you take part in any of the activities, your custom profile would come up when you swipe your ID card. Some great displays and hands on activities (well sanitised by staff before and after use) to get amongst. We spent about 2 hours in there and that was just the standard entry, other options like driving simulators were available but for an extra cost. I’d say once you’ve been a return wouldn’t add much value unless your a hardcore fan but if you haven’t been before I suggest taking a look.

I knew nothing about Nascar, not even heard of it but I went anyway since it is on the top of things to do list. I also know little about racing cars. The highlight of our visit was the pit stop competition where you change the tire and other stuff in limited time. Very fun!

Being a NASCAR fan this was a highlight of our Convention. Not only did we have a very special private tour during the day but we had a banquet in the museum. The caterer they used was wonderful and the food was so good the buffet never stopped until our speaker started. I personally got to take pictures with my favorite cars 24, 48, 88 but also had pictures with our group being scattered amongst the cars. This is a museum I will return to again in the Spring just because it is co very cool.

My dad was a huge NASCAR fan and I grew up watching races with him every weekend. In his memory, we decided to go and take the kids to see this awesome place! He would have just loved every second of it. It probably would have taken us 3 or 4 days to go through if he were here because he would be explaining everything. Haha! Even if you aren't a NASCAR fan, this is a cool place to visit. There is a lot of history of cars in general and lots of cool things to see. Lightning McQueen was probably what our son got the most excited about. We drove down in our Camry and seeing the same model split in half to show the differences between a street car and a race car was really cool. The simulator was fun for my husband and daughter. The best part was seeing all the cars lined up on the track. The history and the miles from those cars...just wow! Definitely a cool place visit.

We had a really fun time exploring the NASCAR hall of fame. The experience is interactive with lots of displays. The best part was the simulation race! You can also change the tires on a car to see how fast you can do it in comparison to the pros.

We were taken by local friends. Although we knew about NASCAR we certainly aren’t petrol heads and we’re ignorant of its popularity and history. This museum was extremely well curated with a clear description of the development and enthusiasm of the NASCAR fraternity, the drivers and the cars. There was an opportunity to take a practiced simulated drive as well as a simulated race. Useful interactive short videos from prominent personalities in the “sport” gave an insight into the whole business.
Thoroughly recommended.

Has anyone visited the. A scar hall of Fame during the Christmas holidays? We have heard it was very nice but any other comments regarding this exhibit would be appreciated. This will be our first time visiting Charlotte. Really looking forward to getting a taste of Charlotte during the holidays

I didn't see any dogs there. I would think that if it's a service dog, you shouldn't have any trouble. I don't know about pets. But you could probably phone them, or contact them through their website and get information.
