Had a good time with friends. Food options were a bit limited as we were told on Sundays they run out of some stuff before the food truck comes next day?!?!! Still, environment was excellent and beer was delicious (had a Fat Boy). The convenience of being open late on a Sunday, was also duly noted.

This brewery rocked my socks off! The beer was so good and it was a fun time! The bartenders really knew their stuff!

I love this place. The menu had just about everything. You could eat outside on picnic tables from the restaurants food trucks or go inside and enjoy a full menu. We had a range of ages from 13-80 and everyone had a good time.

Large inside and outside areas with long picnic tables to sit and enjoy a flight with just snacks or a main German flair plate. Parking in rear -- if nice day definitely sit outside, inside a bit cool with AC The flights reasonably priced - 4 to 6; 2oz samples to try a larger brew. Pretzels to burgers...to authentic German... I met my sister and her family here (she has a toddler) and it was a nice group outing. My parents lived in Germany for a while and my dad loves German food. The food was really good, especially their potatoes side dish. If you arent familiar with German food, just start with the german or american style sausage plate... More

You can taste the difference between the beer and food and you can really tell they take the extra time to make it German style. The beer has no additives or preservatives and if you've ever been to Germany you can tell it's just better beer. Family friendly with lots of outdoor space and activities for all ages. Several food... More

I've been to Germany many times and my wife lived there. The food at Old Mecklenberg is authentic German. I had the Captain Jack Lager. Very crisp light beer. Excellent price, very knowledgable star and swift service. You will not regret it.

We loved this place! It's no Sierra Nevada, but we loved the beer. They had a festival of food trucks and live music. So fun!

Good beer, good food, and live music. How could things be any better? Definitely a fun place to go. You have the option of sitting inside or outside. Inside was loud and crowded so we outside and made the best choice. There was a very good beer selection (the Copper amber ale was world class). It surprised me but the... More

Visited this "authentic" German brewery and bier hall while visiting from out of town. I would add this to my list of "must do's" while visiting Charlotte. Everything is geared toward a great time, from the warm and comfortable servers, bartenders, and tour guides, to the great beers, fun German foods, and great prices. Don't worry if you don't like...
