Nice park at the northern end of Lake Norman. There's a place to rent kayaks. There's a beach for swimming. And a few camping spots. Probably won't go back often, due to its distance from home. (There are other parks on the lake that are closer.)

I was down here for business and a friend of mine owns a boat and took me out on the lake at sunset. It was absolutely stunning. We sped around the lake and took in the scenery. I cannot wait to explore this lake more in the future.

Be prepared to spend a good amount of money on this vacation if you do not already own a house on the water with a boat. The money however is well spent. The water is clean and entire area is fill with friendly lake goers yet it feels so private all at the same time. We stayed on the south... More

I attended an all white yacht party at Lake Norman and it was amazing. The weather was perfect and the scenery was beautiful. I definitely recommend anyone to come and visit.

I come from New England. I love lake swimming. NH lakes you can see clear to the bottom! I moved to the Lake Norman area two months ago. I was excited because the lake was so huge and it looked amazing. I have been greatly disappointed. I can sort of overlook the brown water thing because the soil here etc.... More

My husband and I took our dog for an afternoon of hiking. Very convenient, but you feel like you are in the wilderness. There are several trails that are nice to venture out on. Nice welcome center with restrooms. Also, seemed to be a very popular place for mountain biking. Go out and enjoy NC State Parks.

From mountain biking to running hands down one of my favorites. The dogs love running there too. The weekends can be busy but there are plenty of trails and parking.

The campground is nicely laid out under the trees. Some of the sites are very steep and not suitable for RV's but there are a few that are so just drive around until you find what suits you. Bathhouse is old but the water is hot !! No electric hookups (and no electric outlet in the bathhouse) but there are... More

There was a concert given by NORTH MECKLENBURG COMMUNITY CHORUS "Let It Be' at the Community at Christ Church Luthern Church this past Saturday afternoon, songs from the Beatles, what a delight. They are great and I'm joining. But after that I and to other friends, went to early summer dinner at the City Port restaurant. You can have a... More
