Kids of all ages enjoyed this museum. We went for the Antarctic Exhibit recently and my girls (2 & 4) loved it. They're also big fans of the toddler play area (water table, light pegs, blocks, and so much more). There's a cafe on the mail floor for food/snacks. They change things up enough that going a few times a year still feels fresh. We've taken many family members that come to visit. The biggest fans so far were my teenage nieces (15 and 13). The 15 year old just wanted to stay there all day. Lots to see and do, and the kids - and adults - walk away learning something new.

Our first stop for a quick family vacation to Charlotte because it came highly recommended for kids. Definitely very cool, but also very $. For the 4 of us, it was around $70 and we saw and experienced everything in 90 minutes. If we lived closer, I could see the benefits of a membership with the changing exhibitions.

1st time in Charlotte with the family(5). We had a blast fyi. Charlotte is beautiful. The kids really enjoyed there 1st science museum visit and all the interactive stuff they offer, kept them busy and engaged. Thanks for that. The staff were friendly and informative. Good energy at this place. If you want to burn off a few hours of your children's ENDLESS ENERGY in doors (was raining all day) this is the place. Thanks

We went on November 7th 2020. It was our second time bringing the grandchildren here. We brought my son here when he was a child. I know things are different now because of Covid but they should be ashamed to charge full price for what they are offering.

A lot of the rooms don't have people or supplies in them. I could give you multiple examples but one would be where Ozobots were. They were all broken, except for one and they markers had dried out tips and there was no one supporting the room and it was dirty.

About a fourth of the activities weren't available for use due to Covid even though they seemed to have no more touch points than the other activities.

They have no main feature or attraction right now. about six months ago it was dinosaurs and in a few months it will be AI.

Overall if you want to spend an hour somewhere with your kids it's worth about five bucks not the nearly twenty they charge plus parking. I would wait until this place goes back to what it used to be before I spend my money. Shame on them!

We enjoyed a few hours here one afternoon after flying in, prior to driving to the mountains. There was definitely something for every age which was nice, but not enough to spend more than 2-3 hours. They were shutting down and sanitizing different stations which was nice to see - especially for the area for little kids. If you're coming from a city with a great children's museum or science museum, this probably won't impress. If you have kids under 6 or 7, the will likely enjoy the park/playgrounds just as much. But if you are looking for something inside, or want to support a museum, it is nicely appointed and there are fun things for all ages to see/do.

We enjoyed it but did not think it was worth the price. I think my 6 year old would have enjoyed more of a museum that was more play centered. All the science stuff is cool but requires a lot of reading things. My LO did love the rainforest. We don’t live in town so won’t pay $55 again to go there. ( Parking was $12).

I was trying to check into the IMAX theater since my family had tickets for a show but were told "IMAX hasn't been working all day" when we checked in. Regardless, Discover place is an awesome, hands on experience for all ages. Adults typically "go for the kids" but are just as involved as the kids. There are a ton of exhibits that engaged the brain and educate while playing.

There is food served in the Discovery Place and it is okay but there are tons of food options just out the door. When we go we try to take lunch time as an opportunity to take a break, walk outside and grab a bite and come back to enjoy more.

This is a great place for kids. It's hands-on educational fun. When I went last time, I got to pet a sea urchin! Don't miss the I Max!

Sunday 4th May, I went to Discovery Place with my family after driving approx 150miles. For us, it was a waste of money and time.

STAFF attitude: We reached at location around 30 min before opening time. My younger son (3 years) was waiting along with us outside when an employee (looks like senior citizen which walks with the help of stick) of Discovery Place entered the building. As she opened the door, my son was nearby and thought that building is open to visit. She VERY rudely scold her (imagine a 3 year son) and slam that door pretty hard which might have hurt his hand as well. People around was shocked to see and few of them left the place immediately. Looks like either she has no feel for kids OR she was very upset with her JOB. I did not find manager to talk about, but came back with a worse experience from this terrible place.

FOOD: Expensive (4-5 time of normal price)

Attraction Fee: Very Expensive. Most of the attraction items were closed or not working. Nothing was mentioned on their site regarding this. This place has nothing which would bring kids back to this place.

Better pick a park to have fun with family.
