Visited the campus because of my son's graduation. Took pictures all around the famous landmarks - the old well, clock tower, quad and of course the basketball stadium. Had a nice tour and watched video at planetarium. Walked all along Franklin Street with lots of interesting and iconic local restaurants and of course the chain restaurants as well.

Took a walk around the campus following the map. What a great way to spend the morning and learning about the history.

Visiting my nephew, who works on the UNC campus, was very pleasant, despite the coming hurricane which blew through two days later, downing a gorgeous old tree near the stately library. The campus, located in a trendy, downtown area, is full of beautiful older buildings, surrounded by magnificent trees which can best be described as having southern ivy-league charm. A... More

It's always a joy to walk the grounds of Chapel Hill. The trees are magnificent, the squirrels are delightful, and the students are very inspiring.

I had a bachelor's degree in music from another university, and all of my required prerequisites from a local community college when I started nursing school at UNC School of Nursing at age 40. I attended the 2-year second-bachelor's degree program, and I finished when I was 42. As of this day in November 2016, I have been an RN... More

My Wife and I were visiting her 94 year old Father in Durham. He suggested we stay at the Carolina Inn directly on the campus of UNC. We were delighted in the sheer magnitude and architecture of the different buildings. It was fascinating to learn the history of each. One of the most beaytiful campuses we've seen traveling our Country.

As long as you aren't visiting in the summer when it is HOT, there is nothing nicer than strolling around the campus. Arboretum, Old Well, amphitheater, etc.

Wanted to take a look at this campus. Fairly modern campus look and buildings. Was very impressed with student activity. Students look happy and friendly. Relaxed atmosphere.
