It’s a nice small waterfall. Walk from parking lot is shot, if you lucky to find a spot for parking there. Otherwise you will have to park down the road and walk a little longer. Place was crowded, which made it less enjoyable. Otherwise, you probably can make great pictures there.

The last time I was able to swim in an ice cold waterfall swimming hole my was in Hawaii! Didn’t know I could do it right here in NC. Absolutely beautiful and amazing experience. Water is ICE COLD ... woulda been even better had it been super hot out! So exhilarating.. and super easy walk to it! Parking can b dangerous cuz it’s basically on the side of a highway.

We found this on google maps after we explored a few other springs. This was our favorite of the day. The parking lot is all but nonexistent, the trail to the falls isn’t very well kept for the first 100” or so, but when you walk over the bridge and you can hear the sound of the falls it’s awesome! We came after a pretty good rain and were rewarded with a sight out of a movie!! Look at the pics!

ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING but no where to park so made me a little nervous, thankfully we have teenagers and not little ones. The walk was short to a beautiful set of falls our pictures were just gorgeous. The kids and my boyfriend decided to take a hike to the other side and was told there was another set of falls. I decided to wait behind while they were ventured off. They loved it. Trip was short and fun and we were able to add other things to do in our agenda for the day.

Beautiful place, but can’t really get a good photo unless you are in the water. The Trail is covered in foots and is a tripping hazard for young and old. Other than that a short walk and a great fall to see.

We missed it on the first pass. There is a national forest sign with Silver Run falls on it. There are just a couple parking spots along the road. It is a short, easy walk to the falls. Worth the stop.

Very sad that this wonderful experience has fallen to such disrepair. We used to go all the time and never had any problems. It was fun with the shallow pools and sand around them. Little children had a great time. Locals and tourists all enjoyed the great waterfall.
This waterfall is a short walk from 107. Since being there a few years ago, water, presumably from the summer rainfalls, has washed away the dirt covering the roots. Now, once you cross the bridge over the creek, you begin to see exposed roots. We were able to manage the roots with the help of the branches. Now we have the waterfall and pools in sight. We are climbing on roots and slippery rocks, getting near the waterfall and a swarm of yellow jackets come out of a damp piece of nearby wood. Since we were using branches to keep from sliding into the rocks and roots, our hands were stung many times. I am so thankful that I did not have my grandkids. We scrambled to get back to the bridge and then to our car. Along the way, we warned others about the yellow jackets. Such a shame to waste this beautiful resource. Apparently two weeks before, someone else had placed a sign warning of the yellow jackets. My hands have about 10 stings and are swollen and hurt and itch. My husband has about the same.

The Tree/shrub roots are treacherous and you really don’t encounter them until you are near the falls. I really hope the yellow jackets get relocated and the path to the falls gets finished. A bridge over a stream was added a while ago, and gravel and wood sides make the first part of the short walk easy.

loved the views and hike on this one. Very easy, family friendly hike. Went back several times just to see it and wade around in the water

Whenever we hit the NC mountains we always try to visit one of the many waterfalls in the area.
This trip was no exception. Silver run falls near cashiers nc was absolutely beautiful and this time of year the falls are running hard from all the rain. We encountered only one other group there and enjoyed thoroughly hiking around the base and even to the top of the falls. Many large rocks to view the falls from and a beautiful pool beneath that looks very inviting for a summer dip! The walk/hike in is quite easy for most any age.
