Loved the 2-hour boat trip with Captain Mark at the helm. There were 6 in our group, 12 total on his boat and it was just perfect. The water on the lake looked like smooth glass. The waterfalls were beautiful and trees in the rainforest just stunning. And Captain Mark knows his stuff: the fascinating history of the area and details of the surroundings. We saw the nests of the bald eagles. Would definitely recommend this relaxing boat tour to anyone who has 2 hours to spare and just wants to kickback and take in all of nature’s magnificent beauty! Well done, Captain Mark!!

Our delightful 2-hour cruise took us to four waterfalls which are only visible from the lake and enabled us to meet Martha and George, the eagle pair, with an eaglet in the nest, as well as spotting Harry, the heron. On our late May day, the blooms of the Mountain Laurel, native azalea and rhododendron were in full spendor providing a lovely setting for the numerous geese and duck families making their way to the boat for the healthy feed tossed by Capt. Mark. All this while on a spacious and safe pontoon boat captained by Mark Wise with his educational comments gave us an outstanding highlight of our week. We have been on the plateau and driven around Lake Glenville many times, but this was our first and very special time on the water. We even learned some new information about the area's geology and weather patterns. We highly recommend this tour.

So many experiences on this trip from feeding the geese to getting up and close to the waterfalls. It wasn’t the sunniest day but still surrounded by the mountains and sometimes in the clouds made the experience somewhat surreal. Captain Marque is so knowledgeable about the history of the lake and of the surrounding areas. It was a beautiful trip and extremely educational. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us and for making the trip memorable!

Captain Mark was a wealth of knowledge, we all wished we’d taken notes. We learned so much about this magnificent place. It has been many years since my siblings, their spouses and I have been able to get together, we live very far apart. After Helene, it was miraculous we were all able to get to Cashiers, although weary and beaten up. The unexpected surprise of this cruise, the lake, the sky color and “peak” colors we experienced at Lake Glenville described in wonderful detail by Captain Mark lifted all of our spirits and contributed to this blessing!

Captain Mark (not Mike, not Jack) was entertaining and extremely knowledgeable about the Lake. He took the time to note the eco diversity of plants and trees around the lake which we did not have a clue about. Also great to see the bald eagles that nest there. A wonderful trip that I highly recommend!!

Capt. Mark was very knowledgeable about the history, vegetation, geology, climate and birds around the lake. He pointed out the broad assortment of plants along the shoreline. He described the behavior of the local pair of eagles that nested on an island in Lake Glenville. He discussed how the local geology of the area affected the local weather. We saw four different waterfalls flowing into the lake. Flocks of geese and ducks greeted us in several locations, thanks to Capt. Mark's treats!

This tour was definitely one of our highlights of a great week in the Sapphire Valley Resort area. The two hour cruise was wonderful and well worth the price of admission. Captain Mark was excellent, and a fountain of knowledge. He cruises at a nice speed, then takes breaks to provide some interesting commentary. He knew all about the eagle that was about to learn how to fly and the nest it was leaving, the four waterfalls we saw, the creation of the manmade lake, some of the history on the homes and the geography of the area. We learned a lot and had a great time. Thanks!

This was a great tour. We saw beautiful waterfalls which are not accessible by land. Capt Mark provided a detailed history of the lake and loads of info on the plants and animals at the lake. I highly recommend this tour - it's well worth the money!

Completely enjoyed our boat cruise with Captain Mark. We decided to take the lake tour the day we were leaving to travel home. So glad we delayed our trip a couple of hours to do this. The lake was so tranquil and beautiful. Captain Mark was a great guide and extremely knowledgeable about the history and biodiversity of this temperate rainforest. The waterfalls would have been hard to find on our own and we definitely would have missed out on the interesting history of the lake and surrounding area. We didn't get to see the bald eagles but we saw their nest, a loon, a blue heron, and some other beautiful birds. You can't go wrong with this cruise and a chance to see the beautiful surroundings from a different perspective.

We had a spectacular time on our cruise! The waterfalls were beautiful but the highlight were the bald eagles. So majestic! Captain Mark made it fun and we learned such much about the area. The geese were very entertaining as they loved seeing Captain Mark and his boat coming with snacks! Would most definitely recommend this scenic boat cruise!
