Website did not explain no shorts allowed. ( No tank tops, no short skirts). Shoes off. I had to get the office person's attention, she said outside only and she would give us wraps to wear. Unlike others experience we walked around for 5 minutes and no one approached us to do any explanation. Beautiful place and excited to pay our respects but very disappointed in the long run.

S.V temple is housed in a large complex with a traditionally architected temple. The main deity is Lord Venkateswara also known as Lord Balaji. In addition, the complex has a Siva temple and others too.
Additional note: Saturdays are generally busy. A food vendor sells inexpensive south-Indian meals/rice dishes during the weekend.

When you see the outside of this temple you will be expecting a lot on the inside, but you may be disappointed. The exterior is constructed of concrete with very intricate carvings of Hindu figures; quite magnificent. The interior of the smaller building doesn't look much different than what we would call a fellowship hall in a Christian church. The main difference is the niches with statues embossed in gold. The interior of the larger temple is also not very ornate on the inside and has more golden statues in niches. What I found most enjoyable was the hospitality of the priests and members of the church who were present when we visited. They were happy to explain their religion and generous in offering food which was presented as an offering. We visited during the normal visiting hours without any prior reservation. It's definitely worth a trip if you keep an open mind. You may want to read about Hinduism before you go.

Sri Venkateswara Temple, located at Balaji Place, Cary, North Carolina, is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara also called as Balaji. Either side of the Lord is goddess Padmavathi and Godadevi to the right and left side respectively.
A Gigantic a 9-foot, 2-ton statue of Sri Venkateswara is installed in the sanctrum. The Lord Venkateswara is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the Supreme Lord. The temple is open from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 5.00 pm to 9.00pm from Monday thru Friday and it is open from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Abhisekhams to Goddess Padmavathi and Godadevi is done on Fridays and to that of Lord Sri Venkateswara on Saturdays, Large devotees/visitors assemble on Saturdays to witness/participate in this divine and sacred performance. After this ceremony, the statue will be dressed in vibrant textiles with ornaments made of silver, gold and copper, flowers and garlands. The God looks very gracious.
The temple premises is quite big. In the same premises, there are other deities like Lord Hanuman, Lord Narasimha. Sudershana and Vishwaksena.
A little distance away, there is Lord Siva. Lord Ganesha, Lord Subrahmanya and Lord Ayyappa. Ample car parking space is available. Its a boon for the people of three cities, Cary, Raleigh and Morrisville to have this temple which is a divine place of Worship.

Very nice temple in RTP area. When we visited, some of the deities were newly installed and the whole place looked freshly painted. Was expecting a cafeteria to taste the traditional dishes but it was not available. During the weekend, a food truck stays for a short period with limited supply of food

I am not a Hindu, but came for one of my classes and fell in love with this place and its devotees. I would love to come again!

A lovely temple in Cary, NC that has been built in a typical Indian style. Lord Venkateswara murthy is huge and resembles the one at Tirupati. The ambience is really peaceful and calms you down.
Just in the neighborhood is a Shivalaya too. In there several gods are kept, like Ganesha, Shiva Linga & Devi. When I visited there was a Abhisheka happening with all mantra being chanted. It was a very divine experience.

This temple looks like someone just put it there cause it looks so unique in this area. With the right donations, this temple will be a top attraction in all North Carolina in a few years. Free admission, beautiful on the outside. Very quiet in the inside.

We toured the temple as a group and found it very interesting. The architecture is fantastic! The Hindi priest who lead the tour was friendly and informative. We went on a Wednesday night during prayers. It was a nice experience.

The Venkateswara temple has been built in the true Indian style. The size of Lord Venkateswara is huge and resembles the one at Tirupati. The ambience is really refreshing and peaceful. You could spend sometime meditating. Just few yards away there is a Shiva temple. There are many activities as per the Hindu religious calendar. Must visit temple for all Hindus.

What are the separate rooms in the larger building meant for and what was the Sivastuti chanting? Also the food offerings were great but did it have a name?
