Played in November.. course has a great layout, but conditions are poor at best. Greens were good for most part, some dead spots. Around the greens ground was rock hard and little grass. Tee boxes wee bad as well. Pro shop and restaurant staff were friendly, quick to help and helped keep this rating a 2 and not a 1.

Found a great deal on golf now for the four of us to play for 24.00 each. When we checked in the guy told they had made a mistake on golf now with that price, but we just smiled and played our round. Course was excellent, we played the East course which had Bermuda greens and they were excellent. The... More

I played the East course as a part of a 3-some recently on a Saturday morning. This was about 3 weeks after Hurricane Matthew and other than some trees down in the rough, it was hard to tell a hurricane had been through. There was no one in front of us or behind us for almost the entire round -... More

Some caveats. The course had recently been over seeded and had lots of rain. How much this had to do with the overall state of decline I saw is beyond me. Comparing this to five years of Fall Trips worth of play - I would not want to return to this course with all the other options available. Staff was... More

Joe I am truly sorry your visit to The Pearl was not up to our standards. Certainly the over seed and the 19 inches of rain we had received in September caused our conditions to be wetter than usual. It is impossible to get a mower on fairways when they were as wet as they were. The bent grass greens... More

Played the East Course. The fairways were in great shape. Greens were good but had been recently aerated. Teeing areas could use some work. Bare spots and uneven. West Course is closed during the afternoons during the summer.

Take a group of 28 - 32 golfers every October for the past 18 years and have played the Pearl Courses at least 6 or 7 times. We have always found them in Great shape and the staff friendly and accommodating. Our group's handicaps range from single digit to 30 or more. All have found these courses enjoyable. You can't... East course was very nice. Greens tough as they had big crowns. Pace of play fantastic, under 4 hours for a 10am tee time. Staff was very nice. Only issue was the on course toilets. A bit gross for the ladies.

I booked a tee time using GolfNow.com on Tuesday, May 10, to play 18 holes at the Pearl West Course on Wednesday, May 11. A few minutes after booking the tee time I called the course to see if there would be any charge for a rider, since I was playing as a single and occasionally my wife likes to... More

Dear Golfer, I would like to apologize for any misunderstanding between my shop personnel and yourself. It is our golf course's policy that all Golfnow "hot deal" bookings will be held to the tee time that was booked on Golfnow, that is the reason you were not paired with a different tee time. Furthermore after speaking with the pro shop... More

Tight lies on fairways and around the greens. Don't waste your time or money on Pearl West. Pearl East has a much nicer layout and challenging holes.

We have all read that golf is on the decline with decreased interest and courses closing across the U.S. Look no further than The Pearl to find an example of golf on the decline. It is easy to “feel” the decline – well before the 1st tee: the driveway, clubhouse, a make-believe pro shop, and deteriorating golf carts are all... More
