We drove from Black Mountain to Mount Mitchell Golf. 16 miles as the crow flies, and we used GPS to get there. It took us 2 1/2 hours. It turns out that there is a Highway 80 North and a Highway 80 South (as far as I can tell, you can go north or south on either) and both have... More

Well kept Mountain Course and the Greens putted as well as any I have ever played in 33 years of playing. It is a challenge especially playing it for the 1st time but I will be back.

We just spent five days in the mountains of western NC. On three of our days we played golf at Mount Mitchell Golf Club. The course was in great condition with lush fairways and greens that roll and putt so true. Our hats are off to the superintendent and the grounds crew on a job well done. If you are... More

This used to be the best course in western north Carolina. It no longer is.... the greens are awful, you can not get a ball to the hole. The grass has grown over the cups it has been so long since they have been changed. You can't find your ball in the fairway they are so long. The people who... More

This person must have had a really bad day or confused us with some other course. Please read the review from 4/25, 3 days earlier. More

Great layout, beautiful setting, mountain top but still pretty flat. First class track. It is cart path only which is a bummer, but there are often long walks between greend and next tee, so this is offset some. A very nice place and the views are spectacular.

This is a beautiful course in the shadow of Mount Mitchell. The course is always wet, which means that golfers must stay on the cart paths. This issue, plus the absence of forward tees for senior women golfers, makes the course difficult. However, the course is well maintained and the mountain views are wonderful. Five hour rounds are not uncommon.

Played Labor Day 2015' Cart path only is required and for good reason. However, it is a beautiful course and slower than normal play is actually a plus. Provides a little extra time to enjoy the awsome views, see mtn streams full of trout (buy food in the snack bar and watch the water boil on #2!) and watch the... More
