Tal lead our family on a beautiful wildflower walk near Burnsville in April 2022. Tal is extensively knowledgeable about all the native flora (and the invasive species we spotted) and his love for the mountains and the environment is obvious. Tal was answered all our questions and let us set the pace. We saw and learned so much more with Tal than we could have ever done just walking on our own. Communication beforehand and all arrangements were easy. Tal did a great job of tailoring the walk to our physical abilities. If you are in the area, I strongly recommend Snakeroot Ecotours.

Great tour with a great group. Tal was a wonderful host - very communicative prior to the tour and a nice mix of fun/easy/informative during the year. We would definitely tour with him again.

Awesome night walk in the woods. We were able to see the blue ghost fireflies and enjoyed the tree and field lightening bug synchronous show. Met our expectations and went beyond.

We had a great time on our Blue Ghost Firefly tour. Tal does a great job of explaining the ecosystem. All the fireflies put on a great show the evening we were there. We would highly recommend this tour.

We did a night hike with just my wife and son. Tal made us feel very comfortable and was able to share information about the area, especially about bio-luminescence (living beings which glow). We got to see glowing fungus and insects. He also had a UV light and special glasses which enabled us to peer into another typically unseen layer of the world to humans.
