Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours offers a 3 hour experience with 12 different zip lines and 6 bridges. Our Rangers are trained to interpret the natural environment and offer a personal guided experience pointing out natural features along the way. A 2018 upgrade includes less short zips and an additional lake view zipline in addition to the Fontana Lake Tree Overlook. Added in 2015 the KidZip offers a separate self guided tour on multiple ziplines for kids ages 4 to 12. A soaring zip experience through the trees, NGCT is More than a zip line ride.

My husband did this and he thought it was an amazing experience not bad for an OAP. However I did not do it as I did not want to hold up the young folk such a shame.

My second ziplining experience in NC and it was great. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Good canopy tour with varying zips ranging from shorter to longer to faster and slower. Nothing too long - longest zip was roughly 600 feet in length.
