About
Let our fun and knowledgable staff take you on a tour -- walking in the footsteps of your favorite characters at the original filming locations from "The Arena" in The Hunger Gamesâ„¢, filmed here in 2011. Re-enact scenes with other great fans, see all the filming locations, enjoy spectacular waterfalls and more. Your tour includes a Hunger Games-style lunch and workshops. Great workshops include: archery (like your favorite heroine), making movie special effects camoflage makeup (like one of your favorite characters did in a training session) and more.

I made the mistake of reserving a place in Brevard, not knowing the village tour is two hours away. If I had known the Henry River Village was that far away, I would have stayed closer there. By the time we got to Brevard and drove the extreme winding roads, my dad had white knuckles, and me too. He refused to get back on those roads out of Brevard until it was time to leave. Really it was not easy driving with folks riding right up on my bumper and honking horns. The speed limit was 30 and I guess they are used to driving 60 on those curves. I am a Southerner and I felt that famous hospitality went out the door on those roads. Do they still run liquor up there? Maybe. I loved Brevard, all the state parks, but if you do this tour, I guess this is their headquarters, but the tour is closer to Hickory, North Carolina on a nice Interstate straight Highway with an easy exit. Hope this helps. ,

I had some trepidation to begin with because we were out in the middle of what felt like nowhere and how would three hours go by? But it did! Between the insider views of the first Hunger Games movie, the real history of the area, a great authentic District 12 lunch and fun, fun, fun archery, we had a blast! So much fun! Thank you!!

This was so much fun! Going in we weren't sure if it was going to be fun or cheesy. It was most definitely fun! These guys did a GREAT job and obviously enjoyed what they do. It started at a local community center where we played some archery tag and participated in the camouflage process like Peeta did in the movie. Then we took a short walk to an area where quite a few scenes were shot. The 3 hour tour ends here but my family continued on for the 5 hour, which ended up being a little longer ( which was fine with us!). For that part we hiked up to Bridal Veil Falls where more parts of the movie were filmed and also some scenes from Last of the Mohicans. Beautiful falls and well worth the effort. It was around 5 miles round trip. We were able to walk behind the falls that day which was a really fun experience! Our guides were Josh and Leah (Katniss), who did a great job setting the scene and asking us trivia questions. They even reenacted scenes for us and took pics of us reenacting scenes too! Really great trip, well worth the money!! I highly recommend this tour for any fan of the Hunger Games books and movies. You won't be disappointed!!!

i'm writing this review to let everyone know that the people that work there are VERY rude. We were in town from Texas. Went by around 8pm just to look at the site and see where we would be going the next day and the minute we drove up and got out of our car(outside of the gates, not on the property) we were approached by several guys to leave the site. We were not on the premises, we were on the road shoulder and these guys told us that we needed to leave because apparently they were trying to have a meeting and that we were making a lot of noise. We hadn't even been there for a minute. I personally think that were doing something that why weren't suppose to . i don't understand how you can have a famous place and not except for people to stop by. The staff could of easily said we are closed right now can you please come back tomorrow during our working hours but instead they scared my family with rudest. and we were actually intimidated by large group of workers. We left and didn't return. We won't be going back and that's really sad because my son really wanted to see the site. very upset to come from Texas and to be greeted like that.

RicardomL8372RO - Thank you for you comments and please know that you were not dealing with our company or our staff. I am so sorry to hear you had a disappointing experience. All our tours have always been from 10am until 1 pm at both the locations we have worked with (at DuPont and Henry River Mill Village.) If it was at 8pm when you stopped by - it sounds like you may have visited Henry River Mill Village? DuPont closes after sunset. Henry River Mill Village has their own staff and their own policies. While I cannot apologize for another company/venue's handling of things - I can always offer you a virtual tour which is what we are doing right now. It's fun and I'll make sure we take good care of you. You can reach us at our primary phone: 949.610.5570 to set up your complimentary virtual tour. Kindest regards - Leigh Trapp, owner, Hunger Games Fan Tours.

We took our two college aged children to Brevard for a late summer getaway and booked this tour. My kids loved the books and movies so I thought this would be fun. Our guide Josh was great, he had tons of trivia and fun facts about the movie and the area we were visiting. The hike and waterfall was beautiful. We had a fun, tasty lunch followed by archery and other activities. We left there with big smiles on our faces having enjoyed our time together very much!! Would highly recommend!!

A really fun event for the family. The staff was knowledgeable and fun offering a lot of Hungers Games "behind the scenes" trivia. The scenery is beautiful and it's reliving the scenes from the movie was awesome. Our family did the long tour which also allows you to see (and walk under) the waterfall displayed in the The Last of the Mohicans. Highly recommend.

Brought our family of 5 plus 1 while on vacation in Brevard. Three of the kids are Fangirls and know everything about the movie. Our guides (Josh, Matt and Emma) were incredible and the scenery was beautiful. Everyone had a great time including our 10 y/o who had only seen the movie the night before. The guides did an excellent of keeping us engaged and made it very fun and educational. The end of the experience is a lot of fun too as you get to test your archery and camo skills then end with an exciting game of archery tag. If you're a fan I would highly recommend this. Be prepared for a lot of walking up and down hills, but nothing too strenuous. Bring along a backpack or something to carry water bottles in. They provide a lunch, but you'll want extra water for the hike.

We attended the Dupont state park Hunger Games tour with our son and daughter in May 2016. All of us had a great time. Leigh and team were highly organized, knowledgeable, energetic, and fun people.

My family had an absolute blast on this tour! My husband and I surprised our 3 daughters (ages 10, 13 & 13), who are huge Hunger Games fans, and we met up with some good friends of ours with their 2 daughters (9 & 13). Leigh was our guide and she is just awesome - so much fun and has such great energy! Everything from the hike, to the behind the scenes movie trivia and tidbits, to the archery game, to the food was done top-notch! The adults enjoyed the tour just as much as the children and were pleasantly surprised at the value of the whole thing. I highly recommend going on this tour.

Do you have this tour on Aug. 5th-Friday---or is it just on Sat. and Sun.?
Written August 1, 2016
Starshine - Thanks for connecting. We are just doing a tour on the 6th and 7th. If you/your guests are just in town on Friday - please give us a call....as I will be happy to give you and/or your guests a short "virtual" tour to tell you what to look for on your own. Always happy to do that whenever possible when guests are traveling in on days when we don't have a tour.
