Golf course adjoins the wautaga river outside of blowing rock. Well manicured course with very friendly staff. The only downside is that is in a valley and that can make it moist and inhibit the bounce distance. Love to go back again and give it a go. If anyone finds a Callaway soft ball, it is mine, enjoy.

Gorgeous, cool evenings for twilight golf with fast greens, mountainous back drops and trout-filled streams and ponds. Tall pines and divot-free fairways when we played in June. Idyllic.

We drove up from Sarasota, FL to spend a few days in the Mts and play some golf. We've heard nothing but rave reviews about Hound Ears Club and were hoping we could play a round there before we left this beautiful area. Our pro from TPC Prestancia was able to get us a tee time and we were beyond... More

Hound Ears is an excellent place to visit in the high country. The vistas are breathtaking! Enjoy being outdoors? You will love the golf, tennis, hiking and fishing that are available on the property. Another big plus about Hound Ears is its location. Within 25 minutes or so you can be in Boone, Blowing Rock, Linvillle and Banner Elk. That... More

From the politely enthusiastic greeting at the security gate to the relaxing peace of the wooded surroundings - not to mention the beautiful golf course - and the sound of the river rushing alongside, this is an awesome place to rent a vacation home in the Boone area. We stayed in a lovely cabin where the forest canopy housed an... More

I cant say enough about this place. The views are beyond beautiful. I woke each morning to a stunning view of the Golf Course and Grandfather Mountain! So peaceful and tranquil no matter the time of day. nothing beats this, no cars flying by, no doors slamming from other guests down the hall. Everyone is very mindful of this tranquil... More

We are homeowners at Hound Ears Club. We purchased here so we could enjoy tennis, golf , hiking, fishing and cool weather with awesome views. The Club food is amazing and families welcome. It is ideally located between Boone and Blowing Rock with with Grandfather Mountain and Tweetsie Railroad nearby. Appalachian Summer and Winter Festivals allow for sophisticated speakers, music... 12 of us truly enjoyed this course and venue. I would highly recommend this, and it was fun but just enough of a challenge for our group. I would rate this 5 star

This is one of my favorite golf courses to play. It's located in the mountains but it's tucked in a valley. I wouldn't say the condition or layout is perfect but it's just a nice track to play. It's not very long which makes it manageable for higher handicaps. Its a private club but if you get the opportunity to... More
