We had first visited Doc's Rocks 3 years prior (2013) with family and it stayed with us as something so memorable and FUN! We couldn't wait to go back and see what treasures we could find on our own! On our honeymoon, we bought 2 large buckets, and a few medium and had the best time finding gems! It was... More

The whole family, ages 9-43, had a blast!! The cost is reasonable for such a fun activity. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We each got our own bucket and had fun comparing our finds. Will definitely visit again when we are back in the area.

We went to Docs as our 2nd visit to go gem mining (previous day we went to another gem mine). We were a bit disappointed. Staff was polite. Bit of chaos. We found a couple nice gems but the variety and amount was no where close to the previous day. They have a small area for indoor mining which was... More

Grand kids loved looking for gems. Kids found lots of cool things. The staff was kind and helpful. Prices were reasonably. We would definitely go back.

A novel experience -- sifting through dirt to find gems... Saw people in their 60's down through to kids enjoying themselves here.

We stopped & did some gem mining this past weekend at Doc's. It was lots of fun! We bought the medium sized bucket & found all kinds of treasures! The staff was extremely nice & took time to explain what all we had found. Everything was clean (including the bathroom) & well maintained. Great experience!

this was a last minute stop as we were heading home from the mountains and i am soooo glad we decided to go. We got the medium bucket and found everything from rubys to smoky quartz, my kiddo loved it and i think i may have had more fun than him!

We brought my 7 year old to Doc's Rocks on his 7th birthday. I expected it to be a fun little experience for him, but surprisingly it was a treat for all of us to explore for gemstones. The bucket had way more stones in it than I expected for the price and I could hardly believe it. The gemologist... More
