We were a group of 5 girls enjoying a terrific weekend together when we took this food tour. Can’t say enough in praise of Sandi, our guide. She was down to earth, fun, informative, engaging and made sure everyone received her attention. We were served great food ‘samples’ (some were very generously sized) at six local stops. Each was prepared... More

What great way to spend a Saturday afternoon! We arrived in a beautiful little town of Black Mountain. It was full of tourists and as I looked around I noticed so many cute little shops! Our meeting place "The Merry Wine Market" is owned by Scott who was a delightful first host to our group. And then off to Louise's... More

This is our 2nd time with this group and they just keep getting better! Sandi and Len are fun, knowledgeable and very personable! We had family in town and will do this again since we found new spots to visit! Great local stories, culture and personalities!

My husband and I celebrated our recent birthdays with a "Pub and Grub" tour of Black Mountain through Creative Mountain Food Tours. We spent a couple of hours visiting several casual restaurants, a wine market, a brewery and a jewelry store(!) around town, eating and drinking as we went. My husband was delighted with the beer samples and though I'm... More

Had a marvelous time on this food tour. We had a private group of 16 people and visited 6 restaurants. All staff was professional and prepared for our arrival. Food was absolutely delicious at each. Servings were appropriately sized and was very full and end of tour. Our tour guide Sam (and Ally) were humorous and outgoing. Very informed about... More

Sam and Ally you're food tour host will guide you around the up and coming town of Black Mountain, NC. Stopping at eateries around town for history and a tasting of their food and drink. From Ice cream to local craft beers to wine of course German, American, Italian- too many to list but not so much you can't enjoy... More

This was an excellent Food Tour. We sampled dishes from 4 restaurants (German, pizza, French, Farm to Fork), a wine market and dessert. Every single dish was fantastic. Sam the tour guide and his wife Allie were both delightful. Sam gave us some very interesting historical information about the town and the surrounding community. Sandi the owner kept us up... More

We had a private tour with Sam as our guide (assisted by Ally). The tour and Sam were both excellent. The food and beverage was great. Started with a mango wine and ending with ice cream and fudge samples with quite a bit a food in between. It was about a 2 mile walk but not bad broken up between... More

Went as an anniversary trip and actually stayed in Asheville. Great tour, starting a wine store, went to bed and breakfast inn, restaurants with very nice food. The info on the food and enthusiasm of the proprietors was contagious. Recommend the Red Rocker Inn, can't go wrong anywhere in town for food.

What a great way to explore this jewel of a mountain town and taste some of the best food in some great intimate eateries. Our guide Sam was perfect and was a fountain of information about the area. Highly Recommend!
