Great place to see a show!
Mar 2019 • Couples
We stopped at the White Horse the other night to see Josh Goforth. He put on an excellent show. The White Horse is a wonderful venue to see a show. There are tables and couches throughout, along with a bar. The acoustics were good, and we will definitely return next time we visit Black Mountain.

You have to experience this unique music venue.....
Nov 2018 • Friends
I came to White Horse to hear Abby the Spoon Lady but I fell in love with the entire venue and all the friendly people I encountered throughout the evening. What a wonderful venue in a very special little town. I must go back ASAP. Everything about this area says, "Come back!!" from the restaurants, to the great little gift shops, the friendly people, and then this incredible music venue. Next time I visit, though, I hope it is a tad warmer. I about froze even during the show. Dress warmly!!!! And then sit back and enjoy!!

First time visiting and will definitely go back. Saw The Black Feathers, a super husband/wife team with beautiful voices. The owner was so accomodating with our needs.

Nuthin' Fancy -- Just Great Mountain Music!
Jul 2017 • Friends
This local venue packs the house for fans of mountain music and a wide variety of other types music as well. Once in a while, you'll find a modest theatrical production or public meeting at the White Horse. Famous musicians from all around the country will sometimes stop over in Black Mountain to perform here. Local musicians (many of great skill and reknown) fill this rustic music hall most nights each month. The bar offers wine, beer, and free water, And the management allows folks to bring in their own food before the show begins. Mountain music doesn't get more authentic than this!

Fabulous venue

Great show and very old world eclectic venue. A bit warm in the summer, no air only fans. They have a bar and a few snacks, this is a listening room.

A Wonderful Venue for Music
Apr 2017 • Couples
The White Horse is a cozy large living room that once was a car dealership.
The acoustics are outstanding for all kinds of music. The ambiance is very relaxed and the management is very welcoming and appreciative.
It's possible to get on their mailing list and be alerted to upcoming shows.
If you live within a couple of hours of Black Mountain it is well worth the drive to attend a concert at the White Horse. You won't be sorry. Do yourself a favor and check out their web site to see the range of musical genres that are performed at the White Horse in Black Mountain North Carolina.

Awesome Place
Nov 2016 • Friends
Coming from Washington, DC I was not expecting much- and what a pleasant surprise. Went to see an Etta James tribute - which was awesome.

The place is good size, probably seats 150, but you aren't packed in like sardines. All seats have good views.

They also have 4 beers on tap, and wine. Didn't look at the wine, but many were drinking it throughout the evening.

Parking was plentiful.

Highly recommended!
